Round 2 picks (2-2 1st round)

Baltimore at Denver - I'm just not a believer in Flacco and his wounded ducks that somehow get caught.

Houston at New England - It won't be the blowout they had in December, but I think the Pats will win this one in a relatively comfortable fashion.

Green Bay at San Francisco - I guess it could be called an upset, but a pretty mild one.

Seattle at Atlanta - Still not a believer in the Falcons. Fail Mary rematch coming to Lambeau.

These are my picks also, got this weekends winners right, but the over/under ****ed me on three of them

Round 2 picks (3-1 1st round)

Baltimore at Denver - Denver Defense will be too much for Flacco's wounded ducks.

Houston at New England - Nothing impressive about Houston last week and Pats defense has been improving.

Green Bay at San Francisco - Packers offense is hitting on all cylinders and will outpace the 49ers.

Seattle at Atlanta - Skittles and the Seattle Defense will control the game and win a close one in Hotlanta.

Ryan's quote is priceless.

"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better. I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."

I am going with all the home teams again. I just don't see any reason not to pick them.

His brother needs a DC. 2 Ryans could bring even more comedy to Florham Park.

It is difficult to listen to my Ravens fan ex-wife rub in the fact that the Ravens are playing in the Post season and the Steelers are not.

But it was kind of funny to hear the dismay in her voice when I told her the Broncos will probably beat the ravens this week.

'Bout damn time. The Ryans are both overrated and have gotten jobs on their father's rep. Dallas' defense has way too much talent to be as bad as they've been. Granted, both starting middle linebackers were lost to injury, but letting Alfred Morris run for 200 yards was a bigger issue than Tony Romo throwing three picks.

Way better d coordinators out there, like Mike Zimmer, who was in Dallas when Parcells was the head coach.

And yes, Garrett should have been fired. I like him, but in this day and age, I don't think a head coach should be calling plays as well.

True, I should have made a point regarding where a coach is in his career as well. Both those coaches are in the "prime" of their coaching careers, and had been on multiple staffs before getting their HC gigs. Payton was the offensive coordinator with the New York Giants and Dallas, and McCarthy was in San Francisco. Garrett is still learning how to be a head coach.

I know the game is almost two weeks old and every one sees Romo's three picks, but off the top of my head, Garrett made two coaching mistakes against the Redskins: not attempting a 51 yard FG in the second quarter with no wind, and more egregiously, MAKING NO ADJUSTMENTS to stop Washington from blitzing the heck out of Romo. Call some max protect schemes. And the basic way to slow down the rush? Screen passes. None of which were called.

Shanahan will get all the blame for the injury, but the dude was damaged goods out of college. It was bound to happen.
