Good game last night. I'm proud of the effort they put forth. I HATE when there is no penguins to cheer for. The playoffs won't be the same without a pens/flyers or pens/caps series. Honestly the pens probably would have been in over their heads against those teams without 87 & 71. God knows them losing to the flyers or caps would be a tougher pill to swallow.

I'll be curious to see who the pens resign over the summer. Lots of key people are UFA's. Rupp, Adams, Talbot, Dupuis and Asham just off the top of my head. Kennedy is a RFA and he's going to get a bump in pay.

I guess I'm on the Boston train now. Still a fan of Recchi though the Bruins announcer makes me want to rip my ears off. Out west whoever wins between the canucks and preds is who I'm going for. I can't stand Danny Heatley and screw the wings.... :pfft:

On a happier note I can shave my wannabe beard off my face :yess:

Re: Philadelphia Flyers Game 7..

lol @ the pens

Exactly! I love all the excuses too. Get over it! The Flyers went through what last year? 7 goalies, coaching change, and multiple players with injuries. Not a peep from me. Pens have 2 players out and it completely changes their team. Maybe they need to work on depth next year. Hell the Flyers are without Carter and were without Pronger the majority of the playoffs. Again not a peep from me.

What can you expect from a fan base that dresses in the opposing teams colors during game 7? The answer? Not much. :lol

The Habs not advancing the second round makes it easier that my Pens won't be, but I am just so proud of those Pens. They did pretty good given the circumstances.

Also Deeznutz, what do you expect for a powerplay when the two best hockey players in the known hockey world play on your team and are both out... Just sayin'. The Pens did very well to close out their season given what they had to work with.

Nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey hey, good bye Montreal!

Lets go Boston! Lets go Boston! :)

:cuckoo:

QUOTED FOR BS!!!

The top player in the league and another top 10 player in the league would have been better said. :wink1:

I kinda hate that Montreal is out since Boston IMO are boring to watch, hope they beat Philly though..err..i'm still a Danny Briere fan though..gah.

That tie goal/laser by P.K was terrific.

Excited for the game tonight. Not excited for the 15 or more separate posts Eli will post before, during and after.
:1-1:

At least you won't have to read his plethora of excuses anymore about why the Pens lost. :lol:pfft:

We already know why we lost. Injuries, not excuses, simple fact. You can't win hockey games when you have 4 guys missing out of your top 9 and those 4 are big players. Well, two of the 4 definitely are. That's why we were 1 for 30-something on the powerplay and why outside of that Rupp-Adams-Asham line we couldn't buy a goal, unless you think my facts are wrong, and not losing Crosby, Malkin, and Cooke didn't hurt us, because if you do, then you're blind and are definitely in denial.

The top player in the league and another top 10 player in the league would have been better said. :wink1:

Nah, I like what I said more. It gets the others going. Lets face it, when Malkin and Crosby are both on they are the two best hockey players in the world. Only BuffBuff and BuffyGirl's feelings get spared. Because they rule, well that and a few of the others, but the rest.. I take no prisoners!

Here's looking at you kid (bumblebee and Badmoon more specifically)... hehe

Heck, I'll even throw in Ringer for being a Flyers fan. You Flyers fan!
