there is no topic at hand. for some reason this thread turned into a Crosby bash fest. while i'm not a huge crosby fan, i think the arguments are old and tiring and i'd rather be talking about the upcoming NHL season. but apparently that isn't gonna happen anytime soon.

Yeah, well Eli has opted to constantly deflect away from providing any proof to back up his statement that Crosby is more physical than Lindros was. He claims to be so full of NHL knowledge yet hasn't provided a single shred of evidence to support his argument. Now he's trying to talk about the Flyers.

How do you think the Minnesota Wild will do with Dany Heatley and Devin Setoguchi as your newly required forwards and Jared Spurgeon now looking to replace Brent Burns PP minutes on the back end?

btw I like Spurgeon. Much smaller player than Burns and as a result may have a more difficult time containing his man, but his passing and vision is right up there with the other top offensive dmen in the game. He just has to grow a bit more size and further develop and refine his game.

But it broke my heart when the North Stars left for Dallas. Left me gutted to a point that I follow this league from afar.

Man, that stinks. I couldn't imagine my team leaving to play elsewhere. I'd always follow the NHL though, just been a big time hockey fan my whole life and I'll watch as many games as I can regardless of who's playing.

One thing I've learned on this board is not to s**t talk about a subject that one has little knowledge in. That means me and the NHL. Because I left the league when the North Stars moved.

However I can say this. Damn did the Wild need some scoring. "Boring" chants have broken out at Wild games before. Burns was inconsistent as always last year. Brilliant the first half and where did you go the second half. At least the Wild should make the playoffs this year.

Everyone is waiting on Finnish stud Mikael Granlund to come over.
