Nintendo DS lite or Sony PSP?! Help!

Nintendo DS FTW!!! psp sucks.... no games worth buying. the only thing i used mine for was for homebrew emulators.

Don't you all know what the future of handheld gaming is anyway? Screw both of these!

I own that! I has a few games. I got it for a good price, well, at the time anyway. I wouldn't mind getting other games for it. The 3D effect really does work! It's such a neat system!

But yeah kind of hard to call that thing portable, while accurate in its statement, you would be hardpressed to see a kid play that sucker without getting noticed by the teacher.

DS all the way. I've played both and now own a DS. Far superior games, as far as fun and replayability. Plus, like someone mentioned earlier, the PSP is on the way out, they've already said they have a new portable system in the works.
One thing I love about the DS, being a huge Nintendo fan from the beginning, are the old games, especially the original Final Fantasy games, they are putting out for DS and Game Boy SP, which the DS can play.
The WiFi rocks, especially for Mario Kart DS. All in all, DS will be around much longer and rocks all together.

Sorry to keep rambling, but it will also soon be compatible with the Wii. I don't know if you have one, if not, you should definitely get one.

Nintendo has staying power. Sony is having major issues with the PSP and PS3. Go with the DS. I have one and I love it. No loading times, long battery life, ability to write and send notes, free Wi-Fi service at places like McDonalds and the like and classic games in all their glory. PSP is just portable 3D and if you already have an iPod doesn't offer anything else. PSP minidisks cant be just thrown in a case or pocket and while DS games probably shouldnt either theres always the GBA carts. Also a DS can hold two different games at one time. Let's see a non hacked PSP do that.

As for color thats up to you. I chose black but you can see the smudges really easy on black. You may want the white just for that reason.

Very good choice. You will not regret it. As an owner of both systems, the DS is the one true victor.

I've owned and played both. Without question I would choose psp. I never warmed to the 2 screen concept of the lite. Battery life is better on the lite. Wanna watch movies? PSP. The best graphics and the largest screen to display them...PSP. Best software support...lite. If watching movies has any interest for you get the psp. The sound is incredible. If you like "beat the pad" dance games get the lite.

Overall, more titles and software for the lite. For what is available(and it is quite a bit) the psp performs and looks better. My 2 cents.

To watch movies on the DS they have a Mini Media Hard Drive you can actually use to turn your DS into a fully functional I-Pod/MP3 player. You can also watch videos, view pictures, and of course listen to music. They have different sizes available. You can find them pretty easily at Best Buys.

I have both, and each has its advantages and disadvantages, but if they forced me to choose one, I'd say PSP, even though I usually have a blast playing with the DS.

Same here, I love my PSP, not only do I have pics, videos and music on mine, I also have played the hell out of it. I've played GTA, Lego Star Wars, NFL Street, Madden, Hot Shots Golf, Twisted Metal, Killzone Liberation, Death Jr., Prince of Persia, Star Wars Battlefront, just to name a few and they've all been awesome. Gameplay, graphics, sound you name it, it rocks it. My brother has a DS and to me it seemed like a kiddie toy and the dual screen annoyed me. Why have two small screens when you can have one big beautiful colorful one?
