Got mine on the 3rd; really love the new Zelda. It's a beautiful game and seems massive, and I've still got huge areas that are still dark on the map.

I also downloaded the racing game from the online store (it's okay, kind of similar to F-Zero) and 1 2 Switch. 1 2 Switch seems like a dud; my wife and kid played it for a bit then got bored and a bit frustrated as some of the mini-games don't make any sense. Totally not worth the $50; at $20 or $30 it'd be acceptable.

To anyone who's gotten that far in Zelda, pls tell me the Master Sword doesn't break.

Anyone else think Botw is pretty easy? Even the shrines seem easy. Still enjoying the game, I'm on death mountain at the moment.

Got a horse. Named it Epona.

If you scan a Link amiibo there's a chance you'll actually get Epona, exact pattern and all. It happened to me once but I was an ***** and forgot to bring it to a stable, so Epona is gone. :lol

I believe it's the Smash brothers link amiibo that gives you Epona.
Hell to the **** no this is not easy
Pro Controller + Big screen really helps.

That was definitely the impression that I got from the reviews I watched (since Youtube is so ubiquitous now, I've fallen in line with the rest of the world and have resorted to watching the damn thing for reviews of products and whatnot). Should have been a free pack-in a la Duck Hunt or Wii Sports IMO. Gonna stagnate on the shelves until the price drops down to $20-30.

Yeah, I just bought the system and game for my wife, who is a hardcore Zelda fan. Target has a buy 2, get 1 free promotion on Amiibos and other video game products, and I bought two Links (classic NES and Smash Bros.), largely for the perks you get using the new game. You can get the costumes from each respective game using these, plus food and rupees I think. And Epona comes with the Smash Bros. version. If it wasn't so expensive, I would also get Wind Waker version and the wolf from the Wii game. With the latter, the Link wolf appears and will help you fight villains apparently.

By the way, I've spent about an hour playing this game, and it is tons of fun. It's also convenient to go portable, as I've got to take care of kids, and can play a few minutes here and there when I sit around and wait for them to get their shoes on, brush their teeth, etc. without having to turn on the TV and be in another room.

By the way, here is a video of various Amiibo-related perks:

I had to have the classic NES/Link to the Past version, but you can also get the Ocarina of Time outfit with that Amiibo. Funny that you also get the hairdos of those respective games, including the "Butt cut" that Ocarina Link has (a hairdo that I, unfortunately, also sported for awhile in the '90s :( ).

I glanced at the Toys R Us website, and they still have Smash Bros, classic, and Ocarina Link for order.

Ye, that's the one I used.

Oh crud, I didn't know about the costumes. Now I'll have to get extras to open. :monkey2

I love the puzzle elements in the Shrines. They are fun to figure out.
Also, I love exploring. I'm trying to find as many Korok seeds as possible and complete all the Side Quests that I've initiated.

To say that the world map is gigantic is an understatement. So much to discover!
