I read about that too. Not sure about the source, but the person stated that Amazon and Nintendo aren't seeing eye to eye anymore because of their different returns policies. Amazon accepts returns and bends over backwards to ensure the customer satisfaction. Nintendo has been pretty strict with enforcing their hardware warranty policies. Amazon got stuck with a lot of 3DS systems being denied by Nintendo because of the screens being scratched, cracked, or whatever else they were finding that didn't meet their warranty. Because of this Amazon was losing money on the hardware that wasn't being reimbursed by Nintendo so in effect they stopped selling hardware that they could get stuck with.

I reserved my Wii U Deluxe at my local TRU. The whole process was a sketchy so I'm not feeling great about it. They aren't taking preorders any more though so that makes me feel a little better.

Well, good for Amazon for sticking up for the consumers.
I still want a Wii U Deluxe though. :D

Yeah that's what my thought was. Sucks that they possibly lost a good bit of $$, but I'm sure they'll make that up from the returning customers that were happy about returns.

~~I will say that the Rayman and Zombie U games are the most promising games that I see coming into my life. Assassins Creed 3 will sell like hot cakes, but because it's coming out after the 360/PS3 versions I don't think I'll consider getting it until it's super cheap....and that's only if that port is worth double dipping. I really need to see how the game developers implement the gamepad stuff into the games.

With Shigeru Miyamoto at the helm, I'm sure that gamepad will be used in some creative ways. Maybe not at first, but as the developers have more experience using it. Looking forward to it.

The first game to come up in my head that will blow everything away with innovative use of the pad will probably be Zelda, or another RPG type of game. I'm waiting for them to announce a Skyrim port!!!

You said it.

With Skyrim, I found myself constantly having to dig into the menu to equip/unequip/re-equip, upgrade, move/drop items, etc.

Imagine only having to look down at your gamepad and using the touchscreen to do all that. How much more fluid and quicker would that be? :yess:

Hopefully Fallout 4 comes out on the WiiU, the pip boy will be in the gamepad, it's perfect for that game.

I'm pretty interested in this now. Early reports were the graphics were going to be as good as the PS3 and 360 but now they are saying this system is gonna be much more powerful. I'll wait till launch and see how the reviews are and if they are good then I'll get one at Christmas or after the new year.

:exactly:

I think a lot of people will be taken by surprise with this new console. Since the Gamecube, Big N have been aiming more at the kiddie group, but I think things are about to change.

I grew up in the NES/SNES era so it will be nice to have a Nintendo system worth a damn again.

Yeah, what the hell!
As if they didn't learn from the release of the Wii.
Sold out everywhere and flippers were ripping people off.

Thankfully, I never had an interest in a Wii. I didn't like that it didn't have native 1080 support.

But now, the Wii U does and all the horror stories I read about at the Wii's launch might now apply to me if I can't find one locally.

Thats why I pre-ordered on day one at Gamestop. :exactly:

I'm looking forward to the system, definitely going to be fun for a bit but I hope it lasts...I haven't powered my Wii on in almost a year and a half.
