Well, they deserve their own thread. When I first saw the pics I thought it was the album cover, but those appear to be the actual figures. That one guy has his tongue sticking out, what's that all about?

Dave! You are pulling a leg, right?
I like what I see on the preview page. To bad the photographer didn't use the appropriate lighting for the pictures: red light for Gene, greene for Peter, Purple for Paul and Blue for Ace.
When SSC first released the news on PF KISS, the first image that came up in my mind was the way they are portrait on the "Destroyer" LP cover. Judging the pictures on the preview page, I'm right! Damned good choice!! I guess a lot of Kiss fans will go for these.

LOL...7" heels on an 18" figure. Not quiet.

I thought the only one that looked "off" was Paul, but, then again, he was the one that looked least correct when Mego did them in the 70's.

It will be interesting to see what the edition sizes are. They're sure to make more of Gene than say, Peter or Paul. I imagine most people will only buy Peter if they want to complete the whole set. Unless they are REALLY big "Beth" fans.

No way I have enough display space to buy these.

even though i groan about these I do think the sculpts look awesome. Paul looks like a cartoon (and does in real life thanks to the knife), Gene looks a tad overweight (which he really is), Ace has all of his facial imperfections (sounds aweful, but its the truth) and Peter .. well looks like Peter.
.. and what a great challenge for the wardrobe dept. at SS.
I wont pick these up, but I am anxious to see the complete figures.

and those who are wondering whats the delay with the next PF's from SW & LOTR lines... I think the simultaneous release of all 4 KISS members at the same time hints as to where much of the PF attention has been of late.

Paul has a huge fan base. So I think they will make as much of him as they do Gene.

I agree they got Ace's imperfections from all those bar fights & car crashes that he's been in over the years. Wonder if his exclusive will be the alien he thinks abducted him.

Interesting note in the podcast - Pablo sculpted these. Is this is first portrait work for Sideshow (of real people I mean)? I don't know these guys' faces well enough to know if they're spitting images, but I do know that they look very real. Great work Pablo!

You know the story behind the Mego Paul Stanley head don't you, Ironman ? It seems that when Mego was in the design stage for their KISS figures, they did all new sculpts for Gene, Ace and Peter, but for some inexplicable reason, decided to use an existing "Daryl Dragon" head for Paul, from their "Captain and Tonille" line! What a revoltin' developement !

Yeah, rumour has it Giles is to be done and no line is ever dead too. I stopped believing in rumours.
Warlock, I had heard that story too, but had always hopes that was all it was. It does explain a lot though.
