Paul has a huge fan base. So I think they will make as much of him as they do Gene.

Really, I didn't know that. Why is Paul so popular?

My bet for an exclusive on Gene is blood-drool from his "God of Thunder" performance.

Shots of all four figures are in the new Tomart's Action Figure Digest. I saw them last night.

Let me just say, not great. These are absolutely not worth $250 each.

Peter is the only one that I'd say is close to perfect.

Gene is the worst of the lot. The pose doesn't capture him at all. Plus the neck collar he's wearing doesn't fit properly.

Ace looks good, but the pose is weak.

Paul's likeness is bad. The pose is cool, but that can't save a horrible likeness.

The costumes, for the most part, are excellent (problems with Gene aside).

From this look, I'd never pay $1000 plus shipping for this collection of figures. I'll wait 6 months to a year, and maybe for $125 each on eBay.

Can anyone post images of these pix? Just curious, what poses did they use, are they influenced by the "Destroyer" album cover shot? I assume no guitars?

I'll probably pass on these. Although Kiss is cool and all, I'm waiting for the Kiss vs Twisted Sister diorama announcement. :rock :D

I don't have a scanner, sorry. I only saw the magazine on the rack, so I'll tell you what I remember.

The poses aren't from the Destroyer cover, but they are an attempt to capture the individual personality of each member. Unfortunately there are no guitars, although Peter does have drumsticks in his hand.

Like I said, Pete is by far the best.

Pete's standing straight up with his head held high.

Paul is pointing.

Ace has his hand out in a drugged out pose.

Gene looks dumpy. Sorry to say it, but he looks bad.

So Ace isn't giving a thumbs up or doing the finger gun pose like he useually does? :(

Nope. He's got his right arm extended palm downward. It's a vague spaceman thing. Although it looks more like a druggie thing, to me. They totally missed out by not doing the thumbs up.

Even worse, they blew it not including the instruments. I'd rather have them with their guitars than in some vaguely realistic poses.

The other failing is the costumes. The Destroyer outfits are very boring. I'd much rather have seen the Love Gun gear. Those are their iconic getups if you ask me. Especially Gene. I always thought he looked like a tub of lard in the armor.

In fact, I'd rather have seen the Dynasty outfits than the Destroyer ones. Too much black in the Destroyer outfits.

Why does everyone make Paul pointing? They should of done him with one of the jazz hands poses like he does alot.

One reason they might not have done the guitars is because it might be a seperate liscense. I read Ace sued ReSaurs because they didnt get his permission to use his name or his Gibson model for theyr 1/6th Scale guitar line. Plus McFarlane has always made a different model than his signature Gibson Les Paul in all the figures they made of him.

I wish it would have been the Love Gun or Alive costumes. I still will probably get these.

Peter and Ace look dead on, judging the preview pic SSC has on their site. What concerns me a bit, is that there is this dreaded "®" right beside the band name, in the "ministry of information" section...

The facial likenesses for Pete and Ace look perfect, but the Ace pose is pretty weak. We shall see when we get better pix.

From what I'm seeing right now, these aren't anywhere near worth $250 each. Dropping $1,000 for the set, these better be all kinds of awesome. Doesn't appear to be the case.

Again, I'll have to reserve some judgment until there're better views available.

I just hope the poor sells doom a 1/6 line. Hopefully Sideshow and Gene will wise up and realize the 1/6 figures would sell much better than these poor 1/4 scalers. I'm starting to think the Spencer figures I have look better

Whoa, it's a little too early to judge, okay? There is comment from one person who has seen pics in a magazine (pics taken quite a while ago). I don't know KISS from Lynyrd Skynard, I can say without doubt and with some knowledge, that these figures are far, far better than the large action figures put out at Spencers. The costumes are extremely detailed and the poses are unique and most likely very appropriate to the characters. The facial expressions are detailed and expressive.

So let's give them the benefit of the doubt at least until they're unveiled, umkay?

I, for one, can say that I've ordered all four from Sideshow. I think all four together are without a doubt amazing. While I'm fessing up, I also ordered Frodo when he was first annouced and Spider-Man PF too. I love them all, keep'em comin'.:monkey5

Yeah, I ordered the set of 4 as well, the day they were listed. I know it might be difficult, seeing as they will be a staggered release (one every 2 months), but I wonder if it is possible for Sideshow to give collectors who buy the set matching numbers on all 4 ?:google

Kiss will be the only SS PFs I will be getting.....gotta have all four...
will look great in my music room. Always wanted the original Kiss puppets
which were made decades ago.....the quality of these will be very good as
usual from SS.

I already asked Jennifer if we could expect anything special other than the
10% discount by buying all four, ie: lower edition numbers, etc....she said no.
