Re: "No Name" bodies

Yay from me too.
I have to say Ive never heard of the HTs breaking knees problem before. Now I kinda fear for my figures...especially Godfather.

Re: "No Name" bodies

TFG be careful with your Godfather figure cause he is susceptible to broken knee syndrome. This was confirmed by Hot Toys themselves when i had to send in my Godfather body for replacement a year later. That was the only reason why they allowed the replacement cause of the faulty rubber gromet in the knee joint that they already knew about.Yay for the fugazi true-types.They work AWESOME and seem a little bit sturdier then the actual Hot Toys one but it could just be luck.I did notice one thing on the no names is that the plastic has rough edges so be careful when using tight clothing.^_^

Re: "No Name" bodies

Hey CeeemOr! Thanks for the heads up, brother. Thats some scary ____! Do yo know which body was used for him or which True Type body would make the best replacement?
Luckily, I put him in his chair as soon as I got him and havent touched him since then so hes OK....for now!

Re: "No Name" bodies

You know what, that's the same thing i did with my Godfather figure!I had him in his chair for over a year and then i wanted to have him standing and snap, just like that!IF i remember correctly the body was a standard body but it was an olive complexion. At that time none of the available true-types matched the original one.Now i would go with the narrow shouldered one or maybe even the slim with ankle extenders.^_^

Re: "No Name" bodies

:horror Now Im even more scared! I suppose I could always use a leg from another figure in order to keep the olive complexion body. I'd just have to make sure its the same length as his other leg!

Re: "No Name" bodies

Got mine yesterday and i'm pretty happy with it.
The plastic is a bit shiny is not as brittle as the metal boss body.
A bit shiny tho. Not as heavy as HT's bodie but pretty good.
Have not compared it with an actual HT body for the proportions nor tested the compatibility with HT hands or feets but they seem close.
Great product for the price.

Anout the HT knees.

On the left is the new model of HT knees on the right the old one.
For the moment most of the body i have are using the old one.
These one mostly nbreak because of the plastic being too thin where the screw goes.
My question was, did anybody got a body with the new knees broken?

I have it bad experiencie with my spare HT TT Narrow bodies almost all broken the same with the regular shoulders the ones came with the Tom Cruise HS, the new ones came with the Gambit HS they are good !! no problems the same with ADVANCE TT. :)

Re: "No Name" bodies

Well, if these turn out to be a good alternative I hope they make some female bodies as well. I'm sick of TTL's bodies, i always end up breaking them just by moving things around.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Got mine in yesterday. Mine came with a big stress mark on the right shoulder. Joints are OK but I have a bad feeling they won't hold up. As well, the skin tone is too olive and the body and hands are shiny. If the custom is fully clothed and you have extra HT hands to plug in then ya, I think these are good enough. Now that they are down to $15.99, I think they are good for the price.

EDIT: Ok, they WERE $15.99 yesterday but now its back up to $19.99 with a $2 discount...

Re: "No Name" bodies

Is this based on the older TT (broad shoulders) design or the current narrow shoulder design?

Re: "No Name" bodies

When I get them, sure.

But they really do look identical to me.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Huh?
It has been said before (by Elvis i think for exemple) that they are compatible with hot toys bodies since they are very close.

Can they be adapted to accept Hot Toys hands? I just gone and snagged myself another one of these on UK ebay for only £13 including shipping. :clap

Yes. I would recommend it anyways as the hands it comes with are shiny. If it isn't a fully clothed figure, though, it will look bad as the skin tones are way off.
