My youngest son reacts roughly the same way to baths. Squawks like he's being tortured. You'd think we were waterboarding him. He recovers. So will the cat.

We have two tabby cats, they like being wiped down with a damp washcloth. Once their top coat is damp they sit down and clean themselves.
