Sideshow_Brant About LOTR - here's the bad news... The 12-inch and Premium Format figures are really, really tough to put together. They are amazingly complicated, and difficult (costumes, hair, etc). So... the lines are going slower than we originally hoped. But the good news is... the up and coming figures look GREAT. And I think you'll really be jazzed about the next 12-inch character. But it's going to be a little while before the next annoucements.




That sigh of relief you hear is from my credit card. The temper tantrum however is all me.

Yeah, it's slow going for this line for sure. I was just doing the PF line, but canceled Frodo. I will keep Lurtz and may get a couple of other PF's when they finally get announced, but will stick to just a few like a Gandalf, Saruman and if they do a cool orc archer.

I just hope they compensate for such a slow release schedule by offering nothing but major characters when the announcements do come. No "Kit Fistos" of Middle-Earth please.

I'm relieve that it is on hold since alot of SW stuff are coming in. But, i am anxious to see who the next PF character would be. I just hope it is another creature.

I have no idea on when the next PF will be anounced. I wish I did, seems like it's been forever since Frodo was announced.

Well thats not good news. If the next release is non Fellowship then bring on the FARAMIR IN RANGER GEAR preorder. Most people want him and I would love it if he is character.
You dont think there bidding there time to show off a couple of little folks next do you.

In my opinion, Faramir in Ranger garb will show up in the 12" line before the PF line. I know he's a most-wanted character because he wasn't covered in the SS/Weta line but I just think he'll do better as a 12" than a PF, sales-wise.

I personally have no interest in getting him as a PF. But as a 12" fig, I'd preorder him immediately.

I have only so much room for LOTR PFs, GtG and Aragorn along with VERY select others and I'm out.

SW is the money maker for SS right now. Certainly the bulk of their attention seems to be going in that direction.

Yeah, it sucks for sure that the LOTR ones are harder to do. I love the SW stuff and am glad SS is doing them it gives me my next favorite set of films with great high end stuff to collect. Keeping this fan happy but I need me some LOTR.

Well, let's see... speaking in terms of the canon of the movies, not caring about EU... Kit Fisto goes out like a ***** against Palpatine... never utters a line... (except "AHHHH")

Similar character in LOTR? I'd say "Hama". And he even has lines...

If they'd scrap the PFs and stick to the 12-inchers, maybe we'd be getting more frequent LOTR releases.

Hopefully the extra time on the LOTR 12" line will help it avoid miscues in the SW line like the Geisha-Goth Anakin and what looks like a less than stellar Bespin Han HS-- both apparently paint app snafus over in Toyland.

Exactly who I was thinking. It's funny, the last time I watched Two Towers, I was wondering if we'd get a figure of him.
