Looks awesome, but I see that the pectoral fins dont sit flush with the body of the shark. Their is an obvious gap around the entire fin, is that just because its not sitting in their tight or it just doesnt fit?

Chris

Even if it didn't fit properly, couldn't some milliput have been applied before the paint?

Congrats on the beautiful piece, Rugby!!! It's look fantastic!

Thanks! So happy with it. First piece I've owned that I'm getting a custom case built for. I love it so much.

As for the questions about pec fins, Mike designed the NTT to look like Mechanical Bruce, flaws and all. Hence the sagging skin, bumps, and patchwork. The pecs are meant to look like they have that rough fitting look... the real fins looked rough in stills and the original film.

When removed the area where the fin goes is meant to mimic the look of the yellow foam underneath, just like the real Bruce. You can display with Fins on or off. (notice the shark tooth replica Mike throws into the package... cool stuff)

That's right, the pec fins in the film and behind the scenes have a similar appearance. Just checked out the film again for the zillionth time. TOO cool SCO got even that detail right. AWESOME. Can't wait to get mine. What's also cool is this is supposed to be THE mechanical Bruce as a prop and a monster character. Not just any shark.

Ok cool, didnt know that...does the base feel fragil though? or does it have some weight to it?

Chris

Hmm. The base is light but does not feel fragile at all. All the details (bucket, teeth, wrench) are glued on securely. The shark itself is heavier and more solid than I thought so when the two are together if feels very, very substantial.

It feels good to pick bruce up and the fins are secure enough that I don't feel like they would ever fall off.

I think Mike is really onto something with this newly designed base... it's a nice touch with a lot of little production details but does not distract from Bruce...

What's cool is there are different bases to choose from. I'm still trying to decide which one in fact...choices, choices, choices. I love it.

Great score on the NTT people.

I, too, have one on order and have just sent in my specifications. THX - love the way Mike had yours done and I've requested a similar darker paint scheme on mine as well.
