[The ill Jedi]

New series on Showtime starring Edie Falco of The Soprano's fame. She plays a nurse that is addicted to pain killers and tries to find a balance between her personal and professional life while dealing with all the craziness at her hospital. I like Falco a lot, she's great as always and they put a good cast of characters around her as well. The show has a good balance of comedy & drama and is cleverly written, I highly recommend it, definitely isn't your everyday hospital show.

Yeah, I watched the first two episodes and liked it a lot. Mainly because of Falco. I think she's a great actress.

Yeah, showtime is really stepping it up with some quality programming. Falco is great in anything they put her in, but I also like the actors around her, they really compliment her nicely. Peter Facinelli, who usually plays a *********...okay he does here too, is also really good and I hated him.

I've seen episodes of House and this is nothing like it, this doesn't spend the entire time trying to figure out what a patients prognosis is. Watch the first episode in the link I provided.

And Dexter is a SHO show so they can recreate the damn poster if they want!

I'm not a fan of Falco but I caught an episode of this. She's a jerk with a heart of gold - nothing like House or other nurses on TV. But the show didn't really do anything for me. Doesn't have the charm of Tara or the satiric flair of Dexter.

True. But those two shows are superior to (with the exception of a few others) pretty much anything else on the air.

There wasn't much talk about this show here, but anyway...I love it.

Along with Tara this was another great start to the season. I think Edie Falco is perfect, and so is the rest of the cast. But what happened to Mo Mo? Was he written out of the show for some reason?

Excellent first episode for Jackie as well. It's a great show, not sure why there wasn't much interest. Some people said it was a House rip-off. Love Falco, love the cast, love the writing!

Oh and I'm sure we'll find out what happened to Momo later in the season.

Things look even more complicated this season for Jackie, I can't wait to see where it goes. And who doesn't love a kid who's happy about finding a raccoon head?

I think the actor who played Mohammed wasn't available for whatever reason (contract dispute, him having conflicting work, etc.).

They just had a brief throwaway line where Jackie mentions that "Mohammed was worth three times what you paid him" initmating that Mohammed quit / found work at another hospital. I really liek his character though, he and Jackie had some really good conversations. When Jackie was in the chapel with Thor it seemed like the writers were attempting to have Thor take Mohammed's role, and it seemed a little forced to me.

My favorite part of last night's show was when Akilitus was threatening to the kick the ass of the person she was speaking to on the phone...then said "Thank you, monsignor". My girlfriend had a horrified look on her face as I was laughing my ass off.

From the looks of it, Eddie is gonna try to make Jackie's life even more of a hell.

I also loved that she texted the picture to Dr. O'Hara.
