Lego had a good chunk of the area at the NYCC. They also have Gandalf and Darth Maul. Movie Thor from Madam Clousel's max figure isn't bad. Face is good enough but the costume isn't so good imo.
Mostly disappointed as most of what I want are sketches. Tim Sale canceled. The other artist are booked. I can't even get Jim Lee sig. Wraist band are gone 3 mins after 1pm. Guess he doesn't want to do much sig today. Only got some current comics CGC. Maybe if I bought the 3-day tickets, it might be a different story. Maybe its better this way that I don't spend much $$$ at NYCC. I'll stick to comics n statues...much less hassle.
I did meet David Finch. He's booked but a nice guy. Damn, his mom almost sneak attack me into criticizing his sketch book in front of him. Good thing I wasn't as critical as I don't know who this woman is. And his wife is damn hot, hot!
Get to meet Ariel Olivetti. Nice guy too. Ask him anything new from Sideshow involving his work and he said its a secret. Martin Canale is around, although not physically with him atm. Ariel certainly got a thick Spanish accent.
Paolo Rivera, booked, too.
Maybe I'll be wiser next year, if there's a next year, lol.
