I re-checked my references and have too confirm:

-BEARD tooo long! Obi is wearing a very short haired beard in ANH. One thing is right that is the form of the beard, that is angular instead of square (ESB and ROTJ). BUt definitely they have to double check the hair there and remove.

-BROWS. Yes the brows on Alec Guinnes were well defined and he had that "evil look" wrinkle, but never as pronunciated as in the sculpt. In case it is not a effec of the shadows casted in the figure (I'm afraid not), I think it would be the very good if they could soften that, it will improve the likeness a lot --- and the expression!

My two cents!

I found an image from his scene with Vader. It looks fairly accurate, it just needs a few tweaks:

Great comparison Richard - thanks for posting
I'm thinking hard about this one to go with Vader.
Problem is, I'd rather have an Ep VI Jedi Luke to go with Vader, which there is I suppose a chance thay will make....:dunno

I have no doubt that this piece will end up being the finest Obi-Wan ever made. It already looks MUCH better than the Attakus version, which is one of their best human sculpts.

If Obi-Wan loses about 10 pounds, then this piece will be near perfect. Hopefully it is just the lighting and his face isn't actually that wide.

I must say that the Sideshow 1/4 Star Wars line is the absolute best "bang for the buck" out there today for me. Sure the Cinemaquettes look better, but they cost $1000-$1500 each. Sideshow has delivered a Star Wars line that is beautiful and relatively inexpensive for the quality you get. I'm VERY impressed.

See how calm he actually looked in the film?
The statue looks constipated! :x

Maybe the exclusive will be Obi-Wan's robe and lightsaber pile with dusty Vader footprints. :lol

Sideshow already released that back in April. :rollin

It doesn't look like it's there, but I'd like to see a wire in the hood part of the robe. It makes all the difference on the Medicom Jedi Luke in posing the robe realistically.

Wow, the figure looks very accurate. The reason it looks a little fat is because the shot is a full frontal pic while in the scene they took it slightly tilted upwards.

^^^dude your signature rocks!!!!

anyone have a clue on when they will open preorders on this??? reason being im on the mailing list and i didnt get the email for the grievous until the day after. only reason i got the exclusive is because someone posted the link on the forums here otherwise i wouldnt have gotten him.

It should be up within the next week or so. I think Grievous went on sale a couple weeks after he was announced.

thats cool!!! who are the sideshow dealers in the forum again??? im not very interested in getting the exclusive editions because its all the same to me.

Not yet impossible, Napoleon has it in his coat and it's not thàt visible. Perhaps they'll make a habit of adding these... hopefully.
