I don't watch much television, i find most shows are geared towards sheltered white collar lemmings, i mean who the ____ wants to come home from work and watch a show about work or some retarded mess reality show, American Idol etc..i get too mad at the television so, i just stay away from it.

I think the last show i watched part of was that one with Guy Feiri..Minute to Win It..now, i don't hate this guy..he's alright but, ____ is this show ever retarded..every contestant looks the same..dumb jock and big tit blonde, the music is anoying as ____, and the stupid British female computer generated voice that explains the contestants challenge...i don't get the infactuation.

Minute It To Win It? I watched that once and started feeling dumber by the minute. If I hadn't changed the channel I would've gone into a coma.

There is some great television nowadays - more so than in many recent years. I wouldn't consider curtailing TV watching any more than I would try to limit how many books I read or movies I see.

However if you regularly watch Jersey Shore or Minute to Win IT - then I'm completely wrong and you need to turn that damned thing off and crack a book.

i agree dave & a lot of television series these days are shot more like movie/big budget productions than they ever have in the past. good times to be subscribed to HDTV............:yess:

There are a few network shows I like, but I think HBO, Showtime and FX continue to put out some of the best.

ROME, BSG, and LOST are the only shows since Northern Exposure that I have seen and felt were worth my time.

very true.
GReat part is the networks are getting their ***** handed to them as far as quality is concerned.

But even if every single show on TV was a quality show, at some point I feel like its time to turn the thing off and actually DO something productive.
Great television still doesnt warrant staring into the glowing box for hours on end.

Just my opinion tho .... :monkey1

Depends on what you consider to be "something productive".

This is my philosophy when I'm trying to be productive!

I watch a lot of TV, mainly the Comedy Central Channel, Discovery Channel, Nat. Geo, stuff like that. I also like to watch some shows like Sons Of Anarchy, Hawaii Five-0, Castle and The Mentalist. And besides that I catch the odd film, that I don't have in my collection (yet) if it is an interesting one.

Currently, the only shows I sit down to watch are House Hunters and House Hunters International. I love real estate and I have been interested in floor plans since jr. high.
