I've heard of a few having troubles with the backpack... but mine fit on just fine.

I think the large head issue comes up a lot since typically for 1/6 figures to look right clothed the head has to be a bit larger than the base body would allow. If you were too take off all of her clothes the head does look too big, but fully kitted out (IMO) looks great,

I don't see this problem with other companies. Sideshow is the only one who does this and it's mostly been in the SW line for about 90% of the figures.

We all know who had this problem before. :monkey1

My Boushh arrived today and in my opinion she's one of Sideshows best yet . The headsculpt looks so much better than in the photos and the different materials involved in the costume really give the appearance of a quality piece . The only ( small) gripe I have is the hands . They could have been more flexible , as I find it difficult for the figure to hold the "thermal detonator" , surely this characters "signature pose" !

I agree with you completely on the points you mentioned. The detonator is an irritating piece for that very reason.

I just kept smashing it into her hand until it stayed and now it seems to be pretty solid. Not a smart idea to not have a hand sculpted to hold it though.

Yeah mine keeps slipping out of her hand eventually - any tips anyone on what we can do without using superglue! :lol

You might try heating up the hand with a hair dryer to soften the plastic, then put the detonator in and while it cools it should reshape the hand.

This is as good a place as any to share my newest acquisition (thanks KitFisto)-- glad I got him as I doubt we'll see a 1:6 representation anytime soon.

One big happy family.:D

I caved...

Those are some great pics Monk. I really like the one wear she is leaning against her stand with her leg up. That is just very Leia. Good work. :clap

Man I envy you Monk, I'd kill to have that kinda space and access to natural lighting for photos, my house lacks in that department. Nice work as always.

Thanks, guys.

Maulfan, I'm actually lighting these with an on-camera flash, bounced off a nearby wall. Although there is some natural lighting at work (mainly for fill), it's mostly flash.

Really? That's what I do too. Just curious, what's the coloring of the room you're bouncing the lighting in? Between the actual lighting in my room and the ammount of wood in my room for my closet and furniture, I get a strong orange tone in my lighting a lot of times, but yours have a very white lighting look, which is why I thought they were natural light shots.

Well, I suppose I do have some natural light there...

But the pics all pretty much look the same, no matter what time of day or night I'm shooting. (Although I have to adjust quite a bit more in Photoshop with the night shots, using the Hue/Saturation adjustment tool.) Also, at the ISO setting I am using (200), the shutter speed is something ridiculously slow, like 2 seconds or so.

Here's Vader, shot at night:

Here's an example of different bounces, the first to the upper-left, the second to the upper-right.

I think, too, that just having the flash bounce off of the window provides a pretty good substitute for natural lighting from that window. That's the direction I aim the flash, with a fairly reliable degree of consistency...

Ahhh, ya that would probably do it. My desk I shoot on is right in a corner of the room, so my bounce options are my ceiling and the wall opposite the desk, which is all wood doors for my closet and the bounced light picks up the orange coloration. I'll have to try the window trick sometime, I love white light like many of your pictures have, most noticably your recent PF image collection, very nice lighting quality there.

As far as standard figures, I'd say Leia is tops, but nothing can beat out the Jabba setup to me as best 1/6 SW offering for 2007.
