Captain Faramir
Super Freak
aww he's so cute!
I've heard of a few having troubles with the backpack... but mine fit on just fine.
I think the large head issue comes up a lot since typically for 1/6 figures to look right clothed the head has to be a bit larger than the base body would allow. If you were too take off all of her clothes the head does look too big, but fully kitted out (IMO) looks great,
My Boushh arrived today and in my opinion she's one of Sideshows best yet . The headsculpt looks so much better than in the photos and the different materials involved in the costume really give the appearance of a quality piece . The only ( small) gripe I have is the hands . They could have been more flexible , as I find it difficult for the figure to hold the "thermal detonator" , surely this characters "signature pose" !
I agree with you completely on the points you mentioned. The detonator is an irritating piece for that very reason.
Yeah mine keeps slipping out of her hand eventually - any tips anyone on what we can do without using superglue!
Man I envy you Monk, I'd kill to have that kinda space and access to natural lighting for photos, my house lacks in that department. Nice work as always.
Thanks, guys.
Maulfan, I'm actually lighting these with an on-camera flash, bounced off a nearby wall. Although there is some natural lighting at work (mainly for fill), it's mostly flash.
Well, I suppose I do have some natural light there...
But the pics all pretty much look the same, no matter what time of day or night I'm shooting. (Although I have to adjust quite a bit more in Photoshop with the night shots, using the Hue/Saturation adjustment tool.) Also, at the ISO setting I am using (200), the shutter speed is something ridiculously slow, like 2 seconds or so.
Here's Vader, shot at night:
Here's an example of different bounces, the first to the upper-left, the second to the upper-right.
I think, too, that just having the flash bounce off of the window provides a pretty good substitute for natural lighting from that window. That's the direction I aim the flash, with a fairly reliable degree of consistency...
