Official 12" Hot Toys Superman returns Image Thread!

I picked up both the HT Batman and HT Superman like 3 weeks ago for around $350 shipped.

It was painful at the time, but now it looks like I got a pretty good deal.

But seriously it averages out when you compare to some people who buy everything Sideshow (or any other company) puts out there and are also completist.I don't collect any of Sideshow's figures (like SW),PFs or statues (though my first will be the Spidey 3 mini-busts) and I'm pretty selective about what I get.

Here's my list of what comes to mind:

-HT Superman (x4)
-HT Corp. Hicks (x2)
-HT Scar Predator (x2)
-HT AvP Alien Warrior (x2)
-Medicom X3 Wolverine (x2)
-Medicom Ghost Rider (x2)
-Medicom Comic Spidey (x2)
-Takara Batman Begins (x2)

And I got a whole bunch of single purchases as well, including but not limited to HT's USCM Series 1 & 2, HT Sideshow Exc. Pred & Alien,HT Clark Kent, Medicom Carnage & Venom,etc.

I will be adding some more doubles with the Medicom Spidey 3 figures once they come out. But I probably end up spending about the same amount that some people who collect a huge variety of products end up spending.

Why do you have a problem with someone being able to afford 4 figures? Not sure where you are coming from, it shouldnt really matter to you if someone can afford 4 of them and someone cant even afford 1. These superman figures were not cheap to begin with, like Bardoon said, he paid $200 when they first came out.

if they were all being used as variants maybe... different versions of the character... and all on display, i'd have no problem with it at all. It's the having four identical lots of it...... and keeping them all in their boxes.........

does he buy figures because they're good and he likes them or because he wants to be a Toys R Us warehouse lol

I'm heading to a convention this weekend and I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to pick one up there for about $120.00-$150.00.

Also, Brandon Routh is appearing at another convention over here on 5th/6th May and doing a photo session. Needless to say I've booked my tickets already and will be taking 'ickle Brandon' along to have his photo taken with him if I can get hold of one before then.

The Hot Toys Clark Kent is tremendous. The clothing is among the best 1/6 tailoring you'll ever see.

Clark is one of my favorites. Like everyone is saying, the clothes are incredibly well done. I've posted this pic before but it's my favorite set up in my collection. I haven't changed Clark from this pose since I got him.

You can still pick the Kent fig up on ebay for a good price right now so whoever hasn't gotten it yet should track it down.
Even if I didn't have the Supes fig to put with CK he could just as easily be a stand alone figure. He's that awesome.
