Official 12" Hot Toys Superman returns Image Thread!

Working on a Smallville Superman custom, using a Head Play Tom Welling sculpt but I'm having trouble finding a body that has the right build and skin tone. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Honestly Ive only been looking around online. I cant find any shops around here that carry 1/6 scale bodies

The TTM-19 is pretty good but you may want to give him longer foot pegs to bump up his height. I used a cris reeve ht body for mine and just cut the neck down off the head. But I'm doing the ack trench oat blur at the moment so not much skin showing to have to match.

I'd go with TTM19. Easier to find. Not really cheap as such, but probably a bit cheaper than a Reeve body

The TTM19 looks great, but it has a solid neck. Given the fact that Im a noob to the 1/6 customs world, and that the HP Tom Welling head was hard to find, Im really not confident in cutting it to fit

Ahhh. I didn't realise he had a solid neck.
There are a few HT bodies. If you are doing welling wearing normal clothes you don't need that bulky a body. Do an eBay search for hot toys body.
You might see something that will suit.

You can always use the Captain America body. Its kind of like a hybrid. It has the TTM-19 arms with a regular advanced TrueType body.

I use the cap body for all my Smallville Clark bashes, looks great in a t-shirt with the Headplay sculpt

The SR costume can't be removed unless you cut it.
They go(With the body, because it can't be removed easily) for $150 on Ebay.

But there is a silver lining to that cloud...
The DCD Superman Returns 13" figure suit has a zip down the back. And although the boots cannot be used again(They are attached to the legs with pegs and are too large anyway), you can source HT SR boots on Ebay. I had to do that when i bought a HT SR figure from a guy here on the forum and he was wearing two left boots...(Somewhere in the world, someone has one with two right boots...).
In any case, i normally have my DCD suit on Supergirl(And i dyed mine Royal blue just for variation), but i just put it on a TTM19 just to show what it can look like.
Below are a couple of pics.
Also, if you don't mind going for a look with a high neck, and can get sky blue or azure or maybe teal fabric dye(Depending on your preference), you can buy one of THESE suits on Ebay and dye it yourself.

Ive been eyeing the DCD Superman Return but I thought it was too big. Did you shrink the suit?

Well the suit itself reduces quite a bit when you remove it from the body.
But yes, i put it in a mug of boiling water and left it there for a few minutes before adding royal blue dye to the mix.
When it was dried out, i put it on the HT figure and it fit perfectly.
The cape is a little long, but still not too bad as seen in the pics above.
If you can pick the figure up for €40 or less it's worth it just for the suit.

I have four of that head sculpt on figures in my detolf and I have to state that there are certain angles where it's undeniably a dead ringer for Routh.
And other angles where it's not.

And in the image above, it looks like they are holding hands.
