Ok, so here we go!

Overall, amazing statue. Details on the sculpt are insane. Paint is great. From really close you can see imperfections (particularly with the blackwash and on the bottom of the dinosaur), but from a slight distance it looks amazing. Mouth could do with some retouching up though. Pose is extremely menacing. Size is great!! Not too big, and DEFINITELY not too small!

I got #90. Didn't take pics of the exclusive accessory, but you all know what it looks like. One thing I noticed - there is a small hole under one of the hands, and some white powder was coming out of it... Interesting...

Ok, on to pics - enjoy!

BTW, I'd like to thank this thread, and in particular Scar for getting me into Dinosauria. I'm hooked and there is no going back now.

Amazing piece ! Great pictures !
Can't wait for mine to arrive

Yeah, Scar should be getting a check from Sideshow for how much he gets us excited over this line. :lol

Yeah, the white powder thing sounds like it was damaged. If it's bothersome, you might want to get in touch with Sideshow. Still better than a chipped hallux, though. :D

Just got in the door after a loooooong day and opened up this bad boy (#107) and all I have to say is... :eek. I have work bright and early tomorrow morning so I'm going to hit the proverbial hay in a few seconds. Hopefully tomorrow when I get home from work I can find time to put up a thorough review of the piece. In the meantime, suffice it to say that I'm utterly blown away. Not an iota of detail was spared. The only detraction was a small chip on one of the posterior dorsal spines; a very minor detail, as the first thing that I did was check the dentition, given what I noticed on the Comic-con piece. I'm positively thrilled with how it came out, and like I said, will be putting up a review tomorrow evening, with any luck, and hopefully pictures as well though Reinhardt's are positively stellar! :rock :rock :rock

Got mine today to folks....looks awesome! I think im going to really enjoy this line. I got #59 and everything looks great with mine.
One thing that bothered me a bit was how SS shipped this thing to me. A chunk of the outer cardboard box was ripped back and off....exposing the inner box holding the maquette. I dont know whos bright idea it was to use "stickers" to patch up the hole in the side of the box and ship it to me anyway??? It offered almost no protection....when fedex deliverd it the stickers werent even sticking anymore and just hangging off the side exposing the inner box. I thought for sure their would be some damage to the box...but...their wasnt, not even a scratch..hmm.

Another thing I noticed about this piece (which isnt a big deal at all) is that the left leg sits much higher than the prototype....at least 2 inches higher. In the proto pics the left leg's toe's hang about a half inch from the ground. On mine however their is a very noticeable hight difference. Anyone else see this with theirs?

Other than that..I like it, no complaints. Cant wait to see the rest coming from this line.

Wow, that is pretty bad damage. Any indicator who was using "stickers" as a quick fix? I've never had that problem before, but I usually get SS product via UPS. At least the goods were okay, though. That's the important thing.

Glad your box was okay. I can just imagine someone seeing that rip in the box. "Hey, Boss, this box has a hole in it." "Eh, just put some stickers on it, seal it right up." What kind of stickers were they?

As for the leg does anyone else worry about the weight of the statue becoming too much for the single supporting leg over the years? I'm terrified one day gravity is going to take it toll and that leg is going to snap.

The stickers dont say any company name on them...their is one that says "cleared" that looks like its suppose to be there. I guess their customs stickers???
Im just wondering how the box got torn open that much to begin with?

Thats a good point I never thought of that....maybe theirs a steel rod in there or something to help support the weight? But I dont think this will really be an issue....unless someone physically pushes down on his head.

I'm sure Sideshow considered the effect of the strain over time. I imagine they made sure they have it balanced so there isn't alot of strain and/or like you said put in a metal rod to help. Part of it is that I'm just amazed at how its so big and is balancing on that single leg. That's almost as impressive as the piece itself.

It hasn't been a problem ever since the OG Balrog was having "tail droop" issues. :peace

Well, I'll be honest. I'll be posting my review tomorrow, God willing, because tonight after work I went out to have drinks with some co-workers (hard-earned drinks today, I might add)... but at any rate, I would like my thoughts to coalesce in some manner bordering upon coherency, so tomorrow's the night. Sorry, my friends! :D :rock
