Found this on ebay...sorry if its been posted before!

I DO NOT like the smiling pic posted, regardless if it's final or not.
It's plain awful and I hope it doesn't turn out to be the APPROVED version....but that's just my opinion.

I think they said they have a 'smirking' sculpt coming -- a less "grinning like a fool" sculpt in other words.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that one. It looks like a freeze frame at the end of a sitcom, where he just learned a valuable lesson, and someone made a joke.

You all do realize that's an old pic that most of us have seen already, they were posted by hot toys on there facebook shortly before the full specs and pics came out but were later removed.

Yeah, I think most of us who don't like it are just saying they hope the proposed tweaks do it justice.

If not, no big deal, since I love the regular face.

This was the 1st time I had seen it, not sure how it averted my POTC sonar detection. Regardless, it still looks awful & nothing like Depp. If they don't improve this sculpt & include it with the DX I won't be happy - getting 1 good sculpt & 1 garbage sculpt doesn't cut it.

Why else would they pull down the pics and blur out this sculpt in the official pics? ..they must be sculpting an all new smiling sculpt, what else would they have done all that for?

That smiling face is the original that was shown. It was never approved. HT is making a different one.

Unison has the smirking Jack...not much better, kinda creepy.

Even with all the new announcements at SDCC, this is still one of the best looking figures I've seen.
