There was a difference in the wig for the first three movies??
Yep. The first movie wig had more straight hair than dreads and was black or a very very dark brown. In the later movies the hair had much more dreads than straight hair and more brown than black. The bandana also became a bit more of a faded red/pink color where as in the first movie is was definitely a dark red
Jack's different look's excluding the cannibal king in each movie imo is like spiderman's in the raimi trilogy ..very subtle and not different enough to warrant other figures.
I'm shocked that the major hold up for this release is that HT can't nail a smiling/smirking Depp sculpt. I know HT isn't big on sculpts with expressions but this is pretty odd.
I would bet it has more to do with getting likeness approval then sculptor abilities.
it comes from the recent movie, which defies alot of the more "Classic" Jack traits, like the lightly equipped belt (not beltS as the OST one has)
Other than the 2nd pistol, there's nothing about his belts that doesn't match DMC/AWE, Curse was the only film with 1 belt and no trinkets, DMC added a belt and trinkets, and AWE added his mom's shrunken head.
Rather than more Jacks (I'm very satisfied with getting this DX and Cannibal Jack), I'd really prefer HT to give the modern HT magic touch to characters such as Elizabeth, Will, Barbossa and Davy Jones..They are all vital characters to the series and would be fantastic pieces to stand next to our Jack's
I agree. While I think the original figures do indeed look great, if memory serves me right, the original POTC line was made in HT transition phase from good figures to very realistic figures and it would be awesome to see the original characters revisited with the new HT touch of realism

Barbossa or bust
Yes he is a definite must, Hot Toys would be making a mistake if they ignored him...maybe Geoffrey Rush doesn't like his likeness being used?
That sounds like what the hold up is. Which is a true shame, really.
