As cool as it would be for them to add the tat and brand to his arm, film accuracy doesn't require it, the only times you see it are Curse and World's End. That said, if Cannibal is the only othe Jack they do, it'll suck for this figure not to have them as this would be the only full Jack Sparrow.

Very true, but if worst case scenario, I can always figure out a way to custom it. But even then, I dont know if its really that big a deal :lol

Having Tattoos at his body is not Necessary for me, .. the Likeness & the Costume is Good enough for me :).. Having Tattoos is a Plus, but who would Display their Jack Sparrow Bare chested?

I Went Ahead and Preordered Him :)

at world's end was playing on tv a few days ago. he was seen bare chested in davy jones's locker, and i was reminded that jack sparrow has lots of tattoo on his upper body.

anyone think ht would offer that details on the jack's tt body, like they did with sly's?

it is possible but i doubt they would go through that much trouble.....

Tattoos would be a nice little extra, but they really aren't necessary. It's a DX though, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were there...

Really? I'm honestly expecting the figure to have full tattoos. I mean it's Hot Toys... if not them... then who? And if they give Barney Ross all his tattoos, how could they not for a DX figure? A Johnny Depp DX figure lol.

Barney's tats are seen in the movie, none of Jack's marks are show in OST.

i agree that it's not necessary. i dont think i would even bother with the hassle to undress the fig just to check if the tats are there. however, ht is a company that strives on details, no matter how minute. so it would surprise me if they purposely skip the tats.

It's in the beginning of DMC too, when he's using the compass on the map. Just for a second or so in a shot or two.

The sparrow tattoo should be there, though. I'd dig that. :wink1:

i feel like they will be included, HT is on top of their game why not include the tats? if they dont it wont bother me, but i think they will.

I think the sparrow tattoo and the pirate brand will be all that could be included. I definitely don't see them including all those other tattoos on his back from the one scene in the Locker in AWE. I myself find it unnecessary. Even though it would be cool and an "oh they actually did put them there" moment to find the tattoos all over his back, I wouldn't display him shirtless.

Jack also doesn't even touch a ship's helm in OST either, yet it is included ;)

which is one of the initial nitpicks I had with the movie. but again, had to part with the old and watch OST again, not comparing it to the old ones

Weren't the full body tattoos in AWE just for that part of Jack's personality?
Like each and everyone of the Jacks we see is slightly different than the others, be it in their personality, behaviour or appearance... :dunno

That's why I'm guessing we won't see full body tattoos, maybe just the sparrow on his arm.

Yes, :exactly:. :goodpost:

All the Jacks looked like him in one way or another so my interpretation is he has those tattoos and it was the only time we saw them. I prefer the bullet scars from the Curse deleted scene to tats, makes his life more interesting.

no. we may see the various jacks fully dressed or half dressed, but everything else is still the same old jack in appearance. it's the personalities that are split in the locker, not his appearance.

notice how looney his mind was in that scene i.e. killing self for a peanut, courting a goat, etc... a mind that looney would not be capable to think up an elaborate map-like(or is it his life's story?) tattoos. in that state he'd sooner come up with a tattoo of a talking peanut than anything else.

Each Jack in the locker scene has different tattoos.

You can believe me or not, I guess...

:monkey3 It is pretty familiar material though.

familiar to whom?

at first you agreed with entity that the tattooed jack is just one version of jack, but now you believe each jack has different tattoos. so i ask again... familiar to whom? obviously it's not so familiar to you if you had to change your mind about it.

i just did my research, the tattoos on jack's back has only ONE version. it's actually a poem called 'desiderata', latin for 'desired things'. the poem is about attaining happiness in life, written by max ehrmann in the 1920s. you can google the complete poem.

You're right, I guess. It's not familiar to me at all. I just picked this user name out because I thought it looked cool.

:peace Chill out, guy.

The only thing I've agreed on is that the (Captain) Jacks on the ship are all different. And that they represent different parts of his personality.

And I wasn't talking about his back.
The tattoo are all different. The back tattoos might be "ONE version," but that's just his back.
Edit- It's weird, I can google stuff and cut/paste too. The weird thing is, when I do that, it reads a little differently...

"Captain Jack Sparrow's Desiderata tattoo.Latin for "desired things'. The poem Desiderata is about attaining happiness in life.
Seen during Sparrow's entrapment in Davy Jones' Locker . It is visible on the bare back of one of the Jack Sparrow copies. For the whole poem , please continue scrolling down."

Research by watching that part of the film.

But really, I don't know what I did to incur your internet wrath. I'm all for peace and love, savvy? :monkey3
