I understood that Jack is due out the end of this month in Asia, next month here...so the 11/20 makes sense on SS's part.

No. I never preordered. But I was still devastated by the pictures. The yay-sayers fooled me with false hope, then pulled my heart out and laughed at me by saying the final sculpt is "spot on".

At least I know Sparrow will rock!

But honestly if one figure was to be f'd up today I'm happy it was Indy and not Superman. At least Superman always looked good

Yep. Superman looked good and ended up looking great. Indy looked meh and stayed looking meh. IMO.

Yeah, I know... but at least there are good alternatives available for Indy. Once the Sideshow figure was out for a bit the custom jobs just exploded; and frankly have outshined anything released by a single company.

I imagine some bits from the HT figure will be great for enhancing customs... but the end-all be-all mass produced Indy continues to be as elusive as the Lost Ark

Anyway, the grail Sparrow is here.

Now gotta figure out what I'm doing with my other two HT Sparrows from 2008.

HT is re-doing Cannibal Jack, so I could let the old one go but I hate to get rid of that particular one (even though I haven't even taken him out of the box in 3 years).

My plan was to have this new Sparrow posed without hat and coat, and use this new hat and coat on the old Capt Sparrow. But maybe 3 Sparrows is too many.

Finally placed my PO for this piece. The only Jack Sparrow I have is the Medicom one but this piece will replace that in my collection.

Lol...that's some funny crap. Yeah, I have had hope that Hot Toys would get to work on Indy and get him ready for the big show, but it looks like that's a no. I still want an Indy figure so maybe I'll get one later down the road .

Supes and Sparrow Hot Toys got them right. Some of the pics of Indy (with the shadows covering the left nostril and shirt covering left jaw) look convincing enough and quite good. Then I see the rest of the pics and a profile pic and it falls apart in my head there. As much as I wanted that piece to succeed and be perfect. Oh well..The yaysayers really hate me in that thread, even when I post positive pictures and just a link to my explanation of the differences..
