Not with layers of clothing on. :dunno
There are only around 3-4 slim truetypes with sculpted necks.
I think this looks quite like the Goemon Saizo body, non?

I don't think it's just the size, it's the height as well. It's shorter.

the only way in my experience of getting a "bad look" with PERS is when pointing the eyes down. Jack may not look so bad b/c well he's Jack. But TDK Joker, Batman and MJ don't look so good IMO wen the eyes are pointed at downward angles

:lecture:exactly:Yup! That's because when someone looks down naturally they normally move their head as well as their eyeballs!

Also, when a person looks down the eyelids come down with them. Not so with a static action figures eyelids. Posing the eyes downward shows an unnatural amount of white at the top.

That's actually a very useful body for other customs, Indy being one of them.

Why Indy? Wouldn't a slim be too small?

[Edit]

If Harrison Ford was built like Michael Jackson, yeah. It's too small.

Dunno man, I still think it would look weird.

[Edit 2] - I gotta try and finish reading threads before commenting. :lol

:slap My bad, didn't realize it is shorter.

Man, I was getting two of these in plans to display one with the serious face and one with the smily face but now I love the smily face so much that I want to display BOTH with the smily face!!!

Weren't you one of the ones saying they should just give us the original smiling sculpt with no changes? :lol

My bad, so much back and forth over that, I'm fuzzy on who said what. As if I didn't already love the new smile head, I looked at a pic of the old one yesterday, man did we win in the end. I would have lived with it, but seeing how good a sculpt we get now, that one looks more horrible than ever.

I really dig how unique this body is, a TT slim with sulpted neck and forearms! That's the HT I know and love.

Yes, this one is more "Jack" than the other one for sure. I wasn't opposed to showing the teeth, as that's a cool part of the character, but it was more Depp than Jack.

What did the original smiley head look like? has anyone got a pic to save me hunting for it?

Teeth are usually a big no no with HS.

Funnily enough, the argument is usually that likeness is off but character is there. this time, likeness was fine but character was sorely lacking.

The sculpt looks great, it just doesn't capture Jack's persona very well.
