So to use both sculpts you'd have to get another hair piece as well as a body?

Thats why Im getting two!


But now, Im actually liking the smiling sculpt more and may end up displaying both with it.

This may be a weird question but does anybody know about what year these movies are supposedly taking place? I don't remember ever seeing a year flashed up on the screen.

Roughly some time in the 18th century, loosely, not slave to being exact to the period.

Got my first Jack today (have a second on the way).
Without doubt this is now my fave Hot Toys figure.
I haven't got Supes yet but as Iconic as he is and as much as I am looking forward to getting him, I really can't see him topping Jack. This is an awsome figure. Everything is perfect.
If you are on the fence just get him...... you won't regret it.

I agree with everybody. That pose fits perfectly for the character.

I can't help but get a little nostalgic as I wait for the DX figure. I have loved Pirates and Jack Sparrow since the first time i saw Curse, I was so excited when the Medicom figure came out, and at some point, I learned of the very rare Kojun Jack Sparrow. It was a holy grail for Sparrow collectors. Even when the first Hot Toys Jacks came out, the sculpt was still regarded as the best Sparrow ever done. The figure sold for thousands, it seemed near impossible to ever have.

Now, we not only get Kojun Jack Sparrow at mass market price and availability, but, it is SO much better than his custom. For me, getting this DX also carries a feeling of finally getting that Grail Sparrow.

Wow man, I also remember myself desperately looking for that figure when I wasn't even into the collecting world (I obviously could never get one ).

And you are soo right. It is amazing how things change over time. I look at that sculpt now and almost wonder what was I thinking then to consider it the best Sparrow sculpt possible (well, probably because it was at the time ) but again, I agree with you that this DX blows that one, at least sculpt/likeness wise, out of the water.

Can't wait for mine to arrive!

Exactly and that's what I've been mentioned over asia forum as well. This is really the Grail Sparrow.

What other problems are people finding?

I've had no problems with the hat. I hold it down for a little bit before gently letting go and generally it'll pinch the head well enough to sit tight.

I know, I know. That's what I am worried about.

Just a bad time. Had supes final payment, credit card payment, rainman wonka and Christmas gifts to buy.


Hopefully cannibal king jack will be great if I miss this.

Wow, that's a lot to mind. I'm sure that ainman's figure cost you a lot.

I'm sure CK Jack will be awesome! But don't hope you'll miss this cause you'll definitely regret it!
