Other than that, it just seemed like it would translate into a horrible B movie. I demand justice!

Maybe because the games have sucked majorly lately, that's probably why they aren't selling as well. 4 was mediocre and 5 sucked. The less said about the 'shooters' the better.

I have never seen a single RE movie after the abortion that was the first one, and it looks they've only gotten worse since then. A reboot that sticks to the story from the first game would be a godsend.

Still, I'd like HT to do a true RE1 line, and use their looks from the GC Remake and not the RE5 flashback crap.

I have never seen a single RE movie after the abortion that was the first one, and it looks they've only gotten worse since then.

The first one is probably the worst or 2nd worst of the 4. The second movie is very enjoyable. It actually captures the feel of the Nemesis game even if the end battle pisses people off (Even though the end battle makes sense within the RE movies because of who Nemesis is/was not just some mindless killer like in the game).

I think the movies get too much flack. They are not meant to be moviefied versions of the game and if you go into it like that its a nice little franchise. If they were trying to copy the game and failing id be as outraged as other people because theres nothing i love more than re-entering the world of survival horror.

But man did Chris Redfield both blow and suck at the same time in Afterlife

All in all the movies are just glorified fan fiction with a budget. BRING ON THE REAL RESIDENT EVIL REMAKE DAMN IT!

Well, i didnt complete Nemesis until about a month ago for the first time and while i was playing it I Totally got the Apocalypse vibe. I know its not the same story but some of the events and settings felt very loyal to the game. Even one of the scenes was shot for shot the same. I didnt get a vibe in the first movie or 3rd movie of any of the games other than the villains used though. 4 feels like a nothing movie but it does have kick ass action and heavily borrows from RE5.

And as much as i prefer the games to the movies the movies have something over the games. They are still zombies and Umbrella BOW's! Not crazy african folk! The virus actually succeeded in spreading through the world!

Ah well... Opinions!

Well that's why, you saw the movie before the game! I'm a HUGE RE fan, have been since '96. Played the crap outta the games in the late '90s and into the '00s. Many horror fans, including myself, dislike the direction Capcom has taken with RE. A lot with RE4, but me personally RE5. Only scene that was shot for shot in Apocalypse was taken from Code: Veronica, which was the real Resident Evil 3 anyway (but that's another story). The whole Las Plagas thing was fun for a bit, now it's stale, so you're right there.

Been with Chris and Jill since the beginning. Will definitely be getting Revelations. RE Mercenaries can go suck a mean one, no Leon or Ada in it. Really Capcom?!

Anyway, nothing wrong with liking the movies. Everything's wrong if you prefer them over the games though

i liked all the resident evil games i liked the new direction things started to go stale in code verconica and so on ...

i dont think you can say the games havent sold well prices been going up on games .. more people rent games now before committing to buy it who wants to pay $60 for a title that sucks or is to short.

as fot the movies they are crap the first was ok second one was watchable third and 4th were awful .
