Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Looking to add a NECA endo to my Terminator collection. Which one does everyone prefer?

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Unless you're willing to spend a good amount of money on a 7" figure, sounds like T2 Endo is the only option.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

'Cult classics' T2 or...'T2' T2? (lol)

Actually just did a little quick youtube-ing and I actually may swing for a McFarlane. It looks much better than the T2 endo.

Just thought I'd share my horrible ebay experience from earlier today with everyone. I came across a guy selling a lot of 5 NECA Terminator figures. Tech Noir, Man or Machine, T1000 Steel Mill, P. Escape T800 and last but not least, the grail (and my reason for wanting this lot) was a T1 T800 endo. Current bid was 40 bucks. So I sat around all day waiting for this auction to chip away. Final 10 seconds comes up and I place a bid for 45 bucks. The window to confirm my bid came up and I clicked 'yes' (or whatever it is). Then, all of a sudden a page loads that says I am not allowed to bid on this seller's items because I don't have a paypal account. Are you kidding me? Obviously, the auction ended and I was pissed off. I rarely buy anything off ebay, let alone bid on things so I don't have a paypal. I had planned on using the remaining balance on an ebay gift card, which it clearly said was an accepted form of payment to this seller. You're telling me I can pay with an ebay gift card but at the same time you're telling me I can't because I don't have a paypal. Nowhere on this sellers page or on the item page did it state that there was any restriction for buying from this seller. I missed out on a great buy because of this nonsense and I'm pretty pissed.

I don't know if the page will list restrictions.

I'm sure the seller accepts gift card payments but wants to limit it to those with confirmed PayPal accounts in the event of trouble. EBay doesn't look out for sellers so I'm sure more will start to use such restrictions to cover their *****.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Nice shots there. Although for a second I thought this was news from NECA that there'd be more figures afterall.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

couldnt find a T1 endo so I swung for a mcfarlane one. It feels so wrong turning to mcfarlane after all these years but the neca T2 endo is so bad.

They said they're not done with the license in reply to someone asking about making an articulated T2 Arnold like Dutch. Though they're not sure when they'll have the time or the budget to tool new, articulated legs.

Huh, interesting. Trying to think now would I have any need for more articulated T-800s. The arm surgery T1 T-800 could have done with being able to sit down but for T2 I think they chose a pretty good fits-all leg stance.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I wouldn't mind having Galleria T-800 with additional articulation, Police Shootout T1 could definitely use it, I can't figure out why NECA made their T1 T-800s with such limited elbow articulation even compared to T2.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I can't think of any worthwhile T2 pose that can't already be achieved or at least approximated.

The questioner on Twitter should have asked about getting some T1s out with new legs not T2s IMO. The T1 leg pose is very specific to the Tech Noir gunfight.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I think the T1 leg pose works great for both looks, for that matter, the T2 pose works, but with 5 T-800s from that film, I'm really more looking to just have some difference between them all. I think you need the solid legs they have now for the Cyberdyne to hold up the mini gun, but Galleria or even full BD might be nice with full posability.

My big issue with articulation on T2 is that the figures look so much alike on display together, but with the T1 T-800s, I find the arm articulation very limiting, especailly on the Police Shootout, you can't get any really cool poses out of that figure to really get the feel of the scene, that's why I hacked mine up, I hate the limits on Tech Noir too, they're great looking figures, just not much you can do with them, they feel very old school NECA, predating even the T2 line.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I wouldn't call the T1s any more 'old school' NECA than the T2 figures. They have exactly the same amount and type of joints. Its just that they didn't sculpt the jackets to facilitate much range of motion, certainly less than you get with the T2 figures.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I have no problem with the articulation of the Terminator Figures.
The poses looks really good.

A good solution is when neca make diorama sets like the crow.
For this sets they sculpt a few new parts( for exampel a sitting upper body).

In the production is this way cheaper than complet new tooled full articulated parts. And it looks better.

Oh I'd love that for T1 and T2. But for the most part I'd say their diorama-days are over. Sadly Terminator missed them.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

The 1/4 Days was over vor 2 years.
Than Neca and Enerbay makes new Figures in this Scale and it sales well.

I think the NoES Furnace and P2 Trophy wall decide this.

We consumers must Neca say what we want and what not.

Quick question before bed - anyone have any idea what might cause the jackets on some of my T2 T-800s to turn a grey, frosty colour???! (the arms remain black) Anyone else had this happen?

The cold of my flat? That I may have rinsed them under the tap at one point to dedust them?

That's really unusual. I don't see how it couldve been the water unless it was extremely cold.
