I think both Ripley and Conor are overrated as ****. The Bride and Catwoman from TDKR kicked more ass. Ripley wasn't even the best character in her films...not even the best female character, that honor goes to Vasquez in Aliens. Conor gets way too much credit for just one film. What did she really do? She almost escaped from a mental institution, had some nightmares about the future, and she shot Dyson and cried. :lol I like them both, but it always annoys me when they are put on these top 10 lists of greatest film heroes just because they're females.

Ehh I liked Kiddo and Catwoman fine but their films are inferior to the ones that made these women such icons. It's not just about what their skills are either, it's more about what they rise up to do. Ripley going toe to toe with the queen to save Newt is just the definition of bad ass. Sarah Connor had to literally crawl out of the grip of an unstoppable killing machine. She killed the first Terminator, and truely became the mother of the human resistance. They were both every day people who became heroes before our eyes. That is why they're such enduring characters.

Clown is just flat wrong.

I like them, but I find Ripley a bit dull. I thought Vazquez looked cooler, she was more charismatic, and she had more personality despite having a smaller role, plus she sacrifices herself to save the others. That's why IMO, Ripley wasn't even the best character in her own film.

Sarah "killed" half a Terminator after an injured Reese fought it and pretty much destroyed the T 800 with a bomb. So, imo, it was really Reese's victory. Sarah might the Mother Marry of the story, but ultimately, she's not Jesus. In the first film, she wasn't that much different from the typical damsel in distress. Sure, she evolves into a tougher character by the second film, but ultimately, it's not her film, nor is she the hero of the story, hence why I think she's overrated as a film hero, imo.

Apologies for the pictures being sideways. Can't seem to edit them on my phone.

Maybe they couldn't get an 18" license, at the time Sideshow had the PFs , perhaps that deal prevented them, though NECA stayed away from the 18" scale for awhile, their Alien was like the big launch back into the scale.

Sarah's one of the best pieces of body sculpting I've ever seen from NECA, every little nuance about Hamilton's T2 body is captured perfectly.

It's an area NECA generally excel in with some exceptions I'm sure. Their T-800s and Dutch figures do very well. The proportions and specificities* of his body are usually nailed IMO. Hot Toys gives Arnie figures muscle-bodies but they're not very specific to him and not very well detailed as far as muscle definition, veins and so on. They also tend to make his legs too long.

*had to double-check that was a real word, I sure can't pronounce it

To my surprise NECA's Rocky/Rambo body doesn't seem specific to Sly so I'm impressed when they nail something as specific as Sarah.

What's the issue with their Rocky/Rambo body?

It just doesn't look exactly like Sly and I actually find the back/lats awkwardly flat, the pecs seem a bit flat too. It's not awful, but where Sarah looks exactly like T2 Linda Hamilton, it makes the Rambo/Rocky body stand out as a big generic.

Really? Generic seems like a harsh word lol. I find they match his physique almost perfectly. The only issue I find, as you mentioned, is they could have made his chest a bit larger.

I don't think it's harsh, it just looks like a muscular male torso, not Sly's specific shape, it's very box shaped from the front, no curves to it, it just doesn't feel like Stallone, but it's fit enough looking it works fine.

But when you compare how close the Rambo/Rocky body matches Stallone to this figure and Linda Hamilton, it's not to the same level.

Like I said, it's not bad, I'm quite happy with the Rambo and Rocky figures as they are, I'm just more impressed with Sarah because of how spot on the details are.
