Yeah, i'm very peeved off about that. Might look ok with a bit of black paint though!

That would look wierd too. I think if we could somehow cut out a bit between the face and the glasses but that'd be tough to do and involve a bit of repainting anyway.

It never occurred to me that the sunglasses Arnie would have this problem - guess I was thinking of the McFarlane figure that had a seperate sunglasses accessory.....which I may now have a use for on the sunglassesless NECA figure!!

Neca are so ^^^^

The paint on their resident evil 5 figures was god awful, they may have gone worse with these.

^^ Yup. It's seriously a part of their manufacturing or what ever, that they need to fix if they're gonna compete with McFarlane.

I thought the paint looked good.........

nah its a big step down from the prototypes and even they could have been better around the eyes. Great sculpts but the paint leaves a lot to be desired for me - the eyes and the lips look bizarre. The sculpted sunglasses are very thick at the temples and painted the skin colour from what I can tell which looks pretty stupid. This is disappointing to me because I can't repaint for s>>t.

Thats because i snapped the head on this lol, but i just glued the neck rods back in so i could tilt the head down more.

This one looks way better then the new one and way better then any Endo made in this scale including the McFarlane..and the playmates ones are garbage.

They probably are. I misjudged the initial packaged shots - of course they'd be good - no such luck with the figures we're actually getting. Far as I can see the NECA pessimists were right - the protos are always misleading. I believe Tankman though when he blames the factories. He can sculpt them as well as he wants but the paint on the end result is beyond his control. The sculpts are fantastic - the best we've seen IMO, certainly in this scale - damn shame about the paint. Thats the Arnie figures - the endo not so much. The headsculpt is brutal IMO. Mcfarlane did a far better endoskull while NECA seem to have gotten the body proportions down better - don't understand the lack of neck though. McF did it too, gave their endo no neck - WTF?

Maybe I'm being premature, still can't wait to get mine, but what the hell happened to these figures boys (and girls?). I know I've already posted these very sentiments in the other thread but damn these took a turn for the worse.

Also the endo looks a bit un-symmetrical in the face?

It does in some pics. One eyesocket looks bigger than the other.

Big disappointment here, sorry to keep going on, its just that the prototypes looked so >>>>ing amazing.

There 18" figures are legendary! For the price you can't argue! Give that there small figures are ^^^^. The big ones are awesome! just look at the 18" endo before you decide!
