To say the least, that P2 is one purchased figure, regardless of who else is released. Hope they do an P2 Elder....and some of the other 11 or 12....

I think it's a foregone conclusion around here that the protos never look the same as the final production models.

The problem I see with the paint on the head of Pred 2 is that it's too white. That predator had much darker skin. The way the proto is painted he looks like a lobster.

I would never pre-order anything from ebay. I got ripped off that way once when I pre-ordered a MR lightsaber. 6 months later when my saber never arrived I checked the seller's feedback and he had about 20 negatives from people saying they got ripped off and ebay and paypal wouldn't do anything with my claim because it was past their 45 day claims limit from close of auction.

Dammit! This must've posted after logged out last night to catch some Zs. Had to work all day and came home to THIS! Wooooooooo-HOOOOOOOOO! Un-Freakin'-believable! Not exactly what I was expecting, but this is just a prototype, right? I think we can probably expect several versions of this one, too, so we'll hopefully see some other mask and equipment variations, like some of those badass muthas at the end. It looks like the medkit and discblade are included, but I wonder if they're just molded or are removable pieces? It would be too f'n cool to have all those weird instruments "P****face" had in his first aid kit! Awww nuts! Time to go to work again... Anyway, great news!!!

I do like this figure, even if the paint is a little too neat. May* get it but I'm not a fan of the Predator 2 design.. Looked great & loved it in the movie, but every collectible from this to McFarlane. He always looks cheesy & cheap in Plastic - Especially with that limp-wristed plasma canon!

i just need to say one more time that I'm completey beside myself with the new Predator pics. Although it's not perfect, it's the best 1/6 scale Predator 2 out on the planet. Predator 1 and 2 were absolutely brilliant, and I'm not going to pass up picking this one up!!

I'm right there with you, Reinhardt. I knew that the Hot Toys Pred 2 monster would be fantastic, esp. given their AvP Preds. But I am blown away with the prototype for it. So much better than I anticipated. And he'll go great with my other Preds. Can't wait until he can join the line-up.

I like it! My only criticisms and worries would be that he may look puny next to the AVP Predators due to the excessive armor on those. I agree with you guys, the mask is off, but hopefully the paint will look somewhat the same as the proto on the final figure so we can display him mask off if the mask doesn't change. The shoulder gun looks kinda toyish/small to me too. Stinkin' AVP got me use to the "bigger is better" syndrome.

Home at last! This time I'll try not to slobber all over my keyboard. I'm so glad we'll be getting some different Predator figs, even if they're not the ORIGINAL "demon who makes trophies of men". If this new line is successful then the chances of them going after the original Predator license should be that much better. I'm sure we'll all have plenty of time to critique its strong and weak points before it's released, but at least HT is doing it! And if they've committed to doing one then there will very likely be others. My primary wish is for that warthog-faced Elder with all those quills sticking out of his head and all the beads and other trophies adorning his badass being. Harrigan and Keyes would also be great additions, but I wonder if the HT license includes likenesses of any of the human actors. Guess it's too soon to tell. Anyway, a big thanks to Twistedfreak for posting those eye-popping pics! Can't wait for more news about these new Preds.
