Why do some refer to the alien in the mural as a queen? It looks nothing like one. It looks like the Deacon/Proto-Alien from the end.

If you ask me, I'd prefer if this new movie/movie series completely retcons out that Cameron Queen ____. The original design of the alien and it's life cycle was much more elegant. I choose to see it as a constantly evolving creature.
Each single generation can be completely different depending on it's birthing/gestation conditions.

The outside head looked like another Engineer head to me.

Completely agree. It looked NOTHING like the Queen. Looked more like a blend of the Deacon and Giger's original.

And yeah, I really, really hope the Queen does not make an appearance.
I love the design..but she never should have existed. Space bugs are not unique or interesting to me. I want more Giger, more of the original..

A thought just occurred to me.. Wasn't the Alien originally supposed to be a being of higher intelligence? But it was in it's young, "child" stage which is why it was so aggressive? I remember reading that somewhere..

That plus the mural/alter...hmm.

I'd be easier for me to buy if the Engineers actually looked like regular humans and the "Space Jockey" was an earlier creation of theirs that went awry or something (like the Xenomorph). But I don't like the notion that they sent a powerful 10 foot tall roid raging dude down as The Messiah. Why even use the Christ story at that point?

I'd be easier for me to buy if the Engineers actually looked like regular humans and the "Space Jockey" was an earlier creation of theirs that went awry or something (like the Xenomorph). But I don't like the notion that they sent a powerful 10 foot tall roid raging dude down as The Messiah. Why even use the Christ story at that point?

I agree. The only thing I can think of is if they used this scenario, the Space Jockeys impregnated Mary and Jesus ended up looking like we do because of being inside of her. Otherwise, Space Jesus wouldn't have made it to 33 years of age. He would have been killed long before that!

Apparently it is. It comes from the Art Book. I just got it from Amazon yesterday. I've only read the intro and flipped through it, but some very interesting stuff already.

Has this been posted yet? I thought it was pretty awesome

Problem is, is that the Alien we all know and love is carved in the wall and thus existed before the zombie guy and girl could create a giant face squid who would latter plant an alien in the space Jockey and out would pop an "Alien" type creature that looks a little like the creature from the first film.

The Aliens may have been the space Jockey's first attempt at a Bio weapon. It got out of control and so perhaps the black goo and what comes from it, may be their second attempt.
