Official Sideshow 1/6th DC Comic and Game figure Discussion

I think these came out great but unfortunately can't buy everything. I tend to focus on movie related figures.

Still...There will be a few that I'm sure I won't be able to pass on!

There are so many possibilities with this line. My personal wishlist:

Doomsday
Cyborg Supes
Mr. Freeze
Knightfall Batman

I don't know how I missed the original announcement. Overall, looks like some of SSC's best work in 1:6. I really hope they spread out the release dates or I am in soooooo much trouble.

I thought Hot Toys would do these and they already announced the Arkham City Batman. Is this a co-production?

Ok, I know I was a little apprehensive at first, but I'll admit that the Catwomen and Harley figures look steller. That Catwomen looks like it's straight out of Arkham City. Wonder if they will try some of the more intricate Villains like metallo, doomsday, or killer croc.

Well I can see these selling like hot cakes, and therefore giving SS the impetus to go very far with this line

Time will tell.

The key is going to be minimizing the gap in quality from proto to production.

I'm going all in on this line, forget the movie stuff, this is what I really want and it looks fantastic. I love the head sculpts, glad there are finally some decent head shots of Superman and Batman.

I love the way Catwoman and Joker look. But Harley's smile is off, just doesn't capture Harley for me.

Batman, I love him except for the HS. There is something that just not clicking with me.

Sideshow have really come a long way with their paint, I think if they can get close to the proto paint with these figures I'll have no problem dropping movie figures altogether. These look realistic enough for me, but still like they are real superheroes out of the comics.

This is the one thing I can agree with you on, this catwomen is far more interesting and a better over all representation of the character than the Rises version.

I am suprised DC is still allowing classic DC costumes in their licenses. I thought they were goin to try and ween people onto the New 52 changes just to keep things current for the wave of new readers.

The teeth on Harley are creepy. I like the wrinkles in Batman's gloves.

I think even DC knows that the people who are buying 1/6 figures are not the same people who are reading DCnU. I was reading DCnU for awhile. I'm pretty opened minded and accepting of change, but they've done some really messed up things to their universe and I dropped the books.

I like a lot of the new looks, but classic first and foremost.

Amazing! Superman and Batman look like statues; I can't see any trace of articulation on these bodies besides at the neck on Superman. They look incredible. There goes all of my money.
Catwoman's suit looks a little plain to me. I wonder why they didn't use the same material on her suit as they did on Batman's. Still, not a deal breaker.
