Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

Yup, we can blame him for the material choice since I think SS said he picked out the materials to use. The material looks alright now. I just don't like how the chest flap doesn't extend down over his nads like the original figure.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

God I hate the way pleather folds. Rather it rolls in large waves. Yuck. Oh well.

Nice shots Pred.

The pleather Does'nt fold bad on these pictures :dunno

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

I don't own any past figures with pleather so I haven't seen the issues first hand that you guys talk about. But I'll take your word for it. That being said don't you guys think it's absolutely necessary for a figure like the Crimson Guard to have a faux leather suit instead of cloth ? I do.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

Nope.

I don't think CG's want to sound like a leather couch walking everywhere.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

Keep his arms like that and the coat will be peeling within a year. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Maybe. but that is a different issue than the subject matter :lol

On the other hand, I own some figures with pleather clothing (HT Blade, SS spyke, Takara Catwoman..) posing with the elbows bent for a loooooong time, and I've never had peeling problems on these areas :dunno

Nope, his outfit should've been made of the same material as that CCC "thing."

As late as the T1 PF, Sideshow has had issues with the cheap pleather they use.

:goodpost::exactly::lecture

Which is what it always appeared to be anyways, why they went pleather is a mystery.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

I'm not terribly worried about it deteriorating. I have a few Sideshow figures that have used the pleather material and none have shown deterioration. All of them are several years old. I simply think its ugly.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

got my figure this morning. Arm came right off at the elbow...easily pops back in and has the same rubbery knees as Zartan, so, gonna do a body swap as I can't get my Zartan to stand more than a day without use of the stand.

Just trying to figure out what TT body to use. If someone has done it already please enlighten as to what body works best, i.e. regular TT or the Advanced or the new Muscular bod. Thanks.

Since he's fully covered, a Narrow Shouldered TT would be best. A TTA's unnecessary and the TTM19 is a waste for a SeeGee.

Re: Offical Sideshow Crimson Guards!

Welp. I just got mine here this afternoon. Man FedEx gave me a bit of a run around. Far too much work involved for this ugly ass thing. But he's here now....still nicely sealed up in the brown shipper....
