Psssst. There's this little thing called a recession we're stuck in.... I'm willing to bet the lower edition sizes have less to do with the minute percentile of impossible whiners with unrealistic expectations and more to do with the great chunk of unemployed collectors who're not buying because they're selling off their collectibles for extra pocket cash while waiting for an employer to respond to the resume they submitted. Last time I checked, unless you know something I don't, EDD checks don't provide enough to buy food and pay rent, mortgages, etc., let alone support a superfluous high-end collectibles habit.
awesome pose Rook.
and yes the doll dot is absent from Strom Shadow.
finally.

well i received my storm shadow last week.
after having him a week...i am gonna return him. he just isn't for me i guess.
i am not satisfied at all. the uniform doesnt seem that great and the choices of extra hands baffle me. they dont really have hands that can grasp the swords nor can he hold the bow in his other hand.
the body used seems very flimsy and all the joints are loose. sadly the 12in joes you buy at walmart and target seem sturdier and can hold a pose better.
sigh...well it was an experiment and the result is i just won't buy sideshow figures no matter how awesome they seem.
Well, the recession started in 2007. Here is another post in another forum by another collector.
If it is just the recession, why are Hot Toys figures having such better resale? Plus, aren't collectors a picky bunch anyway? Just look at AFA graded figures if you need any proof.
https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htmTHE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION -- SEPTEMBER 2009
Nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline in September (-263,000), and the unemployment rate (9.8 percent) continued to trend up, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. The largest job losses were in construction, manufacturing, retail trade, and government.
Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the number of unemployed
persons has increased by 7.6 million to 15.1 million, and the unemployment
rate has doubled to 9.8 percent. (See table A-1.)
Unemployment rates for the major worker groups--adult men (10.3 percent),
adult women (7.8 percent), teenagers (25.9 percent), whites (9.0 percent),
blacks (15.4 percent), and Hispanics (12.7 percent)--showed little change
in September. The unemployment rate for Asians was 7.4 percent, not season-
ally adjusted. The rates for all major worker groups are much higher than
at the start of the recession. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)
HotToys figures are having a better resale?! Have you been paying attention to ebaY? Ironman should' be fetching more than his MSRP... he's not. The Godfather is in the same situation, selling for MSRP. The Lost Predator won't even sell for retail on ebaY. Robocop's prices have dropped as have the AVP preds. This hardly proves your point, but moreso proves mine. One post from some whiny ****** on another forum does not prove your point. The reason most people aren't buying isn't because they're irate over a set of loose hips, that's ignorant to even suggest, they just don't have the money.
The original predator is selling for 200. Elder is selling for 255 to 379.00. Robocop flight pack is selling for 360.00 Robocop first version sold for 335.00 recendly.

Hot Toys Ironman is doing quite well. Thanks. Lets say if you have it your way, it will be a short line like Lord of the Rings. I really don't see a problem with collectors asking for Sideshow to fix the body. It could only help not hurt.
What the hell does any of this have to do with Storm Shadow?

yes you're right, but look at sideshow indianna jones (THE WORST EVER!!) compared to now? they've improved it ALOT! i know some still have problems, but no where near indianna. sideshow does replace them if you're not satisfied, so its up to the people who are complaining to DO something about it.
yes i know but its hard not to say something, these people realli intrigue me, how non functional they are. i mean if i have a problem i do something about it, like get replacements or fix it myself.... i dont sit there typing on a computer complaining about all these problems a company is having and how bad their product is without even giving them a chance to fix it, by insted comparing them with a god damn boot manufacturer who makes hundreds of thousands of ^^^^^*ing bootsworld wide (not 4000)
people are so stupid and i guess the internet is the only place people will ever see or care what they have to say.... sad
You have to stop and ask yourself, "Is it worth an infraction to drag this out and make them look like asses?" And in many cases, yes, yes it is!
totaly worth it,
