What is wrong with the SS ones? The hands are great.
they just don't really hold them. they rest more or less loosely. I'd like to have a set that actually grips them better. Personal preference is all.

Hot toys Goemon and Kamui Gaiden hands work very well. The Perseus hands are very similar too, they just have a seem on the thumb.
Have you tried boil and dipping them then closing the hands tighter and running them under cold water?

Tight grip isn't the right way to hold a Japanese sword. Thumb-forefinger.
Depends on fighting style.
HOWEVER, So loose that you drop it ( stormshadow's method) is not correct either.

In Kenjutsu, we learned to hold it multiple ways. Thumb-forefinger usually found your bokken flying across the dojo if feinting a strong blow.
