BOSSK UPDATE 11/11/09

Just a quick update. My free Bossk is costing me $150 + tax when I go to Ikea today for a brand new display cabinet for him. :rock:chew:emperor

Pictures to come.

I got an email from Alex yesterday about the shipping quote for the keychain I won. They have decided not to charge me shipping on it YAY. the time estimate for it to get to me was up to 6 weeks so I will just have to be patient.

I got the same email as well. I hope it doesn't take six weeks. :google

Actually I go with the Aspvik seen here.

I now have 2 and I love them.

PS. I just noticed that I haven't taken recent pictures of my current setup. This pic is rather old and doesn't show the 1:1 Crumb on the bottom left shelf.

Not bad. Never noticed those in either the Stoughton, MA or New Haven, CT Ikeas. I'll have to check them out next time I go to either store. I use Bestas for my 1:1's of Yoda, Spiderman, & Iron Man.

Shropt - does dust get in there? I have a couple DETOLFs which are good and cheap, but I still have to dust the inside.

Good question Kabuki. Have similar problems with my Detolfs too. My Bestas don't need to be dusted with the glass doors. I'm interested to see if Aspviks do the same. I'd love to put my MR Vader helmet in one of those. I tried putting in in my Besta and you could hardly see the piece against the dark wood of the Besta.

Nope, no dust at all as far as I can tell. And these are lockable though the lock kinda sucks. It's more there to just hold the door closed tight.

For some reason Ikea hides these cabinets. My store only had them in one place in a kitchen display. Recently they moved it to a corner of the storage area. I had to hunt the whole store this weekend just to find out the name of the cabinets because I had forgotten the name and couldn't find it in the catalog.

Happens all to often around here. It seems like they move everything around every week. :lol

I typically rummage through the website before hitting Ikea and use the "availability" button to locate it in the warehouse. I'd be in there for 5 hours if I didn't....I'm easily distracted.
