When I typed in the original "irc.sideshowcollectibles.com" to connect, there was no #sideshow tab up top. There was only one tab that said "irc.sideshowcollectibles.com" on it.
When I typed in "#sideshow" to log in instead, I got in, but I'm the only one there.

Is what you originally gave me the specific channel name?

You need to click the button that says SERVER. irc.sideshowcollectibles.com goes in the server field, then sideshow goes in the channel field.
