Well, while I don't think any of Sly's films have the following of Terminator/Predator/Aliens, there seems to be enough fandom behind Rocky and Rambo and such that we could have a healthy sized thread here around Sly's body of work and memorabillia based on it. To get things started here are some images of my Rambo Legendary Scale Bust, it's a great piece, looks just like Stallone and I absolutely love it, makes me look forward to the Rocky bust because I know it'll follow the same quality.

Looks great! the following of Rambo probably isn't as large because it doesn't involve aliens or sci-fi...just straight-up human killing machine!

Why does he look like he's crying? Looks like the Passion of the Rambo. :lol

I want my Marion Cobretti.

I like that bust but what's with the mascara on the eyes? :lol

Touch up the eyes and it would look 10 X's better.

Unfortunately, at the moment I have no Sly products:monkey2

But soon I will have my first HT Rambo coming from Josh!

I will post pix here when I get him in!

If you're interested in it, Toys2 has the 2nd run of Rocky In Stock still, I'd get over there and snag one while it's around if you're looking for it.

I have tried insanely hard NOT to pick up the Rocky figures. They are all awesome but I have to stop somewhere, I know if I get Rocky, then I will get Clubber, then Creed, then Drago and before you know it I have spent another $500!

Its an awesome line by HT, but I HAVE to draw the line somewhere.

you're not alone...i've had them all in my cart on 3 seperate occasions. BUT if i only have a Sly line then I could buy rocky....hmmmmm....nope i'd end up getting them all.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had them in my cart a few times too, but when it came down to it I just had to say no:monkey2

I had ordered Rocky once through BBTS, but for a little I felt he didn't fit in the budget and cancelled, then when Toys2 got it again and it was a little cheaper than BBTS, I thought about it again and it's just so nice looking and I'm such a Rocky fan, I had to get it, but I don't care much about Clubber and Creed will be so so if the whole Carl Weathers likeness issue that affected the JAKKS line affects the HT sculpt, so that leaves Drago for now, which I'd like, but I'm holding out for other incarnations of Rocko.

If they ever do a version like this I will get it for sure. This is the Rocky I would much rather see.

I'm probably in a minority, but I'd like this for a figure / statue

I found the story so inspiring, I'd love to have a collectible of it.

Yeah, you may be in the minority, but your reason for wanting it is a damn good one.

Rocky 6 was a great character study, I hope Rambo 4 is the same.

i can't decide if i want rambo to find peace or not. on one hand he's a character i want to finally rest and find peace and on the other hand i like the demons he carries but i guess since this is the end maybe he should find peace...maybe be recognized for his bravery but then that goes against what his character represents. i guess i'll just watch the movie and quit thinking. :)

I was kinda hopeing he dies at the end:eek:

For me I just cant see John Rambo working a 7/11 when hes out of the armed forces. I dont know what Sly has in store for us, but I think he should have a heroic death at the end of the movie.

You know what'd be a very powerful but probably unlikely ending to Rambo 4. Rambo receives decoration for his efforts. Instead of accepting it, the film closes with him leaving a medal on the gravestone of every Vietname vet in Arlington and finally places his own medal on the grave of Trautman to honor his deceased friend.

I agree, there must be a memorial to Trautman with Goldsmith's A Long Road theme over it. I think Rambo should die though. He was a warrior and a soldier and I can't fathom John J. spending his remaining years growing old. He needs to go out like a soldier. Perhaps he is buried in Arlington next to Colonel Trautman. It would bring closure and be believable if Rambo made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
