Kowboy Kurgan says: "Looks like we got a problem"

SSC offered a Mithril shirt made of 14k white gold for $500 but its only for the elitists. :D

Is that all, some should tell Sideshow I'd be willing to pay $700 for it!!!

And I wondered about the Mithril shirt before, my guess is it would probably look odd in 1/6 and/or it would make Frodo too bulky.

Also, it would make Bilbo a must have figure if they included it as his exclusive.

Yes. And yes. Though if it doesn't fit well on Frodo, the second point doesn't stand.

Uh, so...no. And yes. :duh

But then you could always strip him down and just have it on... or have Bilbo holding out for Frodo to take.

I bet whatever Frodo is wearing under everything else could be removed and replaced with the mithril shirt. It'd work the same way that Plo Koon looks better with his robe on if you take off the tunic.

I'm sure the Mithril shirt was discussed at length over at SSC and decided against.

After all, what does it really get you? He never wears just the mithril shirt. It's not like he does a Superman and pulls open his 4 other layers of clothes to reveal the metal shirt underneath. The display options are minimal and that coupled with getting what amounts to a metal t-shirt to look right --- seems like a no win situation from their point of view. But that's just my opinion.

Not just that Dave, but it prolly would have made him to clunky with all those layers of clothing.
