I'm thinking new, the only negative I have about these is they all look like they have pinheads, should be quite larger if supposedly it's a helmet around a human head.

i think your right, just took a second look at the figure. You can see the shield is sculpted on, plus it also has the gold strap going under his arms as well.

Good spot, but i can see a seam line at the shoulder, so it's a new figure but shield still looks separate. I imagine too that the Dragon Dagger can join with the other weapons like on the show where the Super Legends was made to be a stand alone.

Also, the Super Legends GR had separate ball hips like the Jungle Fury figures... this one doesn't...

So anyone here watch the sentai versions? IMO the Japanese versions are highly superior + they are the original =P

...hell yeah! Saban's bastardized versions were ok until Disney took over. But original Sentai series FTW!

wasnt that the premis to every "super robot" type show back in the day as well though. I mean name it, mazinger z, voltron, starvengers voltes V, Gaiking, Grendizer...etc... little bit of story, monster shows up giant robot flys in/transforms, destroys evil monster a happy ending and wait for next episode and repeat as necessary.

Yeah it looks like they really tried to refine and simplfy the new logo so it didnt look so busy. I too prefer the old logo. I do think its cool what each logo looks like every time a new team is introduced.

The new logo looks more like the Zeo or one of those, I think they're trying to make it match all the post MMPR logos and I think the unique look of the original is worth retaining or at least something like the movie logo, which was a twist but still true to the base design.

I think Ill be sucked in to the new line. Sad they never made any 1/6 Rangers though. I still remember the first Christmas the toys for the show hit, I had all the Rangers, Titanus (carrier zord) and the Green Ranger/Dragon Zord, oh and the Green Rangers Dagger... but I was soo mad I didn't get the Megazord. Then years later after everything was gone from abuse... I found my Megazord in the back of my sisters closet. Apparently my parents forgot about it. SO pissed to this day.

My parents actually tried to fight my Ranger fandom, they thought I was being immature and that it was a show for like 5 year olds, so I wasn't allowed to get any of the figures from it until the 6" head flipping figures, never had the cool 8" ones or the original zords, I did get the full Thunderzord eventually for one Christmas, that was really neat. I had pretty much every 6" line figure. In terms of being a line, the 6" were superior to the 8", so many more villains and baddies. One of my most exciting gifts was the White Tiger / White Ranger 2 pack, always a big Tommy fan and really wanted that but it was hard to find and my parents tracked it down for me. I still remember making a special point to sit down for the season 2 big premier with Zedd, it was at 8 at night or something like that instead of the usual afternoon time and I couldn't miss it.

Fun times, that's part of why I still hold onto the figures and watch the show, it's nice to have something like that which takes you back through a period of your life and remember things you might otherwise forget.

I remember I almost didn't get the girl Rangers. My grandfather got them at the base/depot where he was working. To this day I'm sad I don't have them, but I'd kill for some HT level rangers with removable helmets and good sculpts underneath.

Yeah, I really wish I hadn't sold mine off, but there was a period where basically, the only toys I owned were Star Wars, that's all there really was to collect so I wasn't much of a collector, since getting back into this hobby, and expanding into eBay buys, I'm branching out into acquiring all sorts of things here and there, trying to hunt down toys I once had as gifts and now spending like $50 to get them back

Wow.. reads just like me. I too came down to a point where I only had Star Wars stuff. Really miss the Rangers now. As to Kimberly.. it wasnt my parents busting my balls, it was my friends

Yeah, kids at school picked on me for liking her too, I actually kept a cut out of her in my wallet to stare out now and again, I was too young for having a locker or she'd have been up on the inside of that

Yeah my brother still has all the original stuff and its in my parents attic. My parents were kind of the same way, I watched it but they never got me any because I think they were of the same thought that I was just to old for that stuff. I remember christmas was nothing but ranger stuff for my brother. To this day I tell him to go to the attic adn look for that stuff so we can see it and I cant photos of it at least. Knowing all the zords are just sitting up there in there boxes just kills me. Who knows what they even look like now with the moisture and humidity and theyve been through a major move also...watch them be broke into pieces or us not knowing my mom sold them or something.

Just so you guys know, the new MMPR figures are out, although they are about the size of GIJoes and at about 5.86. They had Tommy, Kim, Jason, Bill, Zack, Trini, Goldar, Putty, and Alpha 5 w/Zordon.

I only picked up Tommy and Kim for now, I was gonna get them all but wanted to wait to see if TRU had gotten them in so I could get them cheaper (employee discount).
