So I had some items for sale that never sold for a while on Ebay, they were on buy now so they were there for days not in auction, now all of the sudden 3 of them sold and they are all from states that were impacted by the hurricane.
One of them is where the most damage was caused... I don't know what to think about that, I am going to contact the buyers but, should I send them? is this people trying to say "Oh my items never arrived" to get them or something?

I don't know I find it kinda weird. I know I cannot be the only one that this is happening to, but I just wonder what's the deal? making Ebay purchases just when this thing hit? is this fishy or am I being paranoid? I don't know what to think I guess I'll wait for response from them but wonder what you guys thought about this

Hello,

We're contacting you to let you know about a possible delay in deliveries in the North East due to Hurricane Sandy. Our carriers have assured us they will deliver packages as soon as possible after it's safe for their drivers to do so.

If your order doesn't arrive shortly after delivery services resume, you can see the most up-to-date tracking information in Your Account using the URL above.

We're sorry for the inconvenience and hope you understand that occasionally a shipment may be delayed by circumstances beyond our control.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,
Customer Service Department

Is this something that happened to you?

yes it is and am very disappointed because I will NOT be getting this in time for Halloween today

so why not ship it with some form of insurance signature confirmation registered shipping? so if they scam you then you have some proof

You can check online and see what zipcodes are affected for shipping. If they're in those zipcodes, tell them that if they still want the item, they'll have to wait until the website shows they are shipping.
