Ordering DVDs from Canada to the US

Hi folks,

Have a bit of an odd query but I'm hoping some of the US forum members might be able to advise.

I'm from Ireland and I'll be vacationing on the East Coast of America for most of May. (Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, Boston and New York City)

I'm hoping to order Series 1 & 2 of Todd and the Book of Pure Evil from Amazon.ca and get it delivered to one of my hotels. Can you let me know if there are sales tax, import duties or any issues I should be aware of when importing DVDs from Canada to the US.

why not just order it in the US and have it waiting for you when you arrive at your hotel?
are you sure season 2 is even available yet ,since it just premeired a month ago ?

Odds are it will be cheaper off of Amazon.com as well. The shipping would be higher to import it from Canada on top of the duty. Not sure about taxes though.

Season 1 is on DVD from Amazon.com but season 2 is only on the .ca site otherwise I wouldn't have an issue getting both from .com
