As a chemist who works with noxious chemicals all day, spending more money on organic foods to be "healthier" doesn't make much sense.

I buy a few things for my daughter like hormone-free milk, but in my mind this organic craze...well lets just say that the jury's still out on whether or not it is doing anyone any good.

Don't drink soy if you're a dude. It rises estrogen levels. ( a little tip you learn when weight lifting)

But yeah we do organic milk for the kid. We still buy regular for ourselves, May make the switch but so expensive. I try to buy organic vegetables when i can.(again way more expensive.)
So that's why I have been emotional lately. :lol

No seriously though, what will raised estrogen levels due to me?

Why you would want to add to your toxic burden also does not make much sense. If you eat in such a way as to help your body to overcome and and not succumb to such noxious chemicals... Well, I'm sure your family would appreciate it!

Millions of tons of pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides sprayed on our crops CAN'T be good. Growing Genetically Modified crops so even MORE pesticides can be applied CAN'T be good. And grain grown for livestock is not subjuct to the FDA or USDA limits on spraying so even more tons of chemicals are dropped on them.

And that's where the chemical companies make the bulk of their profits.

THAT is why it's so important to support our farmers, especially local, who can grow nutritious food on sustainable farms. They are not only saving us from the additional toxin loads but they have the ability to actually heal this planet.

Yup, love our Farmers Markets here in the Bay Area. They are rated as some of the best in the country. I loved when I had a Saturday English class last semester from 9am-1pm at Cal and we would go to the Farmers' Market on our breaks and they always had killer stuff.

On Fridays right by my work in Downtown Oakland, they have a killer one that the whole office goes to to get stuff.

And I am not a organic nut by any means, I still loved my processed stuff, but I've got to say it does taste a lot better!!

Although, I still must put forth that you can't believe everything you read. There is definitely people out there who want you to consume as much dairy as possible. It is after all a huge business. Why not put forth articles about the dangers of consuming your fiercest competitors products? After all, wouldn't that drive the consumer right back to the other product? You just can't trust anyone any more.

That site sounds like a conspiracy website for the farmers against mega-ag companies.

I went to the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health and they had a bunch of articles about the FDA certifying that SBIF (Soy Based Infant Formulas) were fine, among other soy products. Here is one:

Anyways, soy stuff doesn't taste right to me know matter what. Soy milk tastes off and so does tofu-meat substitutes. I'll eat it, but it's not the same as real milk and cheese and beef to me.

I think that everything can give you cancer now adays. So I will continue to eat and drink and splurge on what I want. I do need to get back to the gym to get rid of my man-****s though. :monkey2 They aren't from soy, they are from being a fatty. :monkey2

Given you probably gotta drink a good amount of soy.(to get **** growth or whatever) From what i've read and heard i just stay away from it all together.

Need the testosterone up and the estrogen down!

Just wait till you try human...

LOL Well, humans can't taste that good as we would probably be all tough and stuff from moving around andstuff all the time. And with the crap we put in our bodies, we probably taste nasty.

I'll stick with good fatty beef and wild aminals! I <3 piggys! And lambikins! And deerses! And bufferloes!

Organic food...

Yeah, never really got that, maybe because I have a VERY acute sense of taste, I just think GM is a good idea...

Yeah, I would GM would be better as they would require less pesticides and stuff like that. Hmmm.....

Genetically Modified food.... mmmmm.....

One thing you WILL notice is eggs. Man if you get some organic/cage free no antibiotics/hormones Eggs you WILL taste a difference. Chickens that are treated like ^^^^ produce less tasty eggs.
