Here is one of the first, of movie related art projects that I have worked on during the Summer.

Let me start off by saying, while I enjoy Burton's Batman more than Begins, as an artist, Begins lends it self well to painting.
Here is a poster I did based on Begins, done in the style of 1930's pulp detective covers. It is meant to be semi realistic, with an artistic, vintage flair. It is a water color original, already framed, so there is unfortunately a flash glare. Please LMK what you think! Thanks!:chew :chew :chew

Here is a similar piece I did called BATMAN:1939. It is from my own imagination, symbolizing the rivalry between Batman and the Joker. Again, the flash isn't in the actual painting, but it does give the picture a moon effect.

I tried to mke it fairly realistic, again with a 1930's pulp style. The Joker is based on Conrad Veidt.

Here it is: BATMAN: 1939

Some very cool stuff man, keep it up. Check out the Planetary/ Batman crossover for one of the coolest Batman stories, and it has several versions of Batman in it, some cool stuff!

Thank you for your kind comments here are a few sketches I've done:
This is something I did after watching SUPERMAN RETURNS. I am proud of the Clark in the corner and the Kevin Spacey likeness, but I hate the Superman flying behind him.

The second is Michael Keaton as Batman and Nicholson as the Joker, and the third is a Highlander montage I did.

I dig the Highlander stuff! Just makes me sad that Sideshow won't be making Ramirez anytime soon. :monkey2

Great work man!!! I love the concepts, and the sketches as well... They have a very solid movie poster look to them that works well for the style you are going for. Keep it up, they can only get better from here! :D

Ramirez was an effete snob.He died on his kness...Now bring on the Kurgan!!(sorry, I really can't stop myself sometimes)

By the way, I do like your work Dr. Keep it up and remember to post new stuff here!

Thanks for the compliments!
Here is a commission I am working on for a friend who is a huge modern horror fan. It is a WIP, and right now I am not too pleased with it. He asked for a cartoony painting of Freddy drinking a beer, and hanging out with a bunch of modern monsters. Here is my attempt at it. I am not too pleased with the reddish color of the couch and how it blends in with Freddy's sweater. I am also considering going over it with black ink, so that it has more of a comic book feel,a dn so the characters can be seen better.
Please keep in mind it is a WIP, and I plan to do touch ups.

That is awesome! the "legs" of the table are a nice touch, and I dig the chucky box underneath! I think freddy stand out pretty well right now, and black may be a bit heavy. This is really cool!

Thanks guys, for the compliments! Anyone else have any input for the modern horror painting?

I would really appreciate anymore comments/critisicms for the modern horror pic.:monkey3

Here is a fan sketch I did of Erik, the Phantom of the Opera in casual wear.
It was originally done in pencil, but I sharpened the contrast on my PC, so it would show better on a computer monitor.

I was inspired partly by Leroux, partly from pictures I've seen of burn victims, and people born with disfigurements.

Sorry, but the scan doesn't do this picture justice!

I like the Frankenstein, he has a very 3D feel the way you illustrated him. Also kinda looks like a friend of mine :monkey3
