I airbrushed Vallejo acrylics, i beleive it was a mix of Tan Yellow, Ochre, Saddle Brown and Off-White to find the right tone. Then a very thinned out/watery Vallejo Smoke to weather with brush in crevices, armpits, stains, and lastly dry brushing lighter colours for some subtle hightling.
Holy smokes! This is some really incredible work in this thread! thank you for showing your process. That C3PO is crazy good! Amazing how the difference in paintwork can change that sideshow figure from mediocre to top notch

My custom repaint of the very large and incredible JazzInc 1/6 scale T-47 Snowspeeder with the goal of being as accurate as possible to the studio scale Snowspeeder used in The Empire Strikes Back.
The size of this model, being almost 1 meter long, meant some interesting challenges in creating a believable sense of scale. My goal was to replicate both the original painting techniques of ILM from Star Wars, as well as follow studio and film references as closely as possible, to see how close I can get to a screen accurate representation.
An exciting aspect of this build was the use of Archive-X acrylic paints exclusively, which are specifically formulated to replicate the original Floquil paints used to paint models in the original Star Wars films. It was the essential acrylic paints to provide for the goal of accuracy.
Luke and Dak should obviously be in the Rogue Leader version with grey stripes, but the Rogue 3 orange stripe version for me is the most iconic, so I willingly lose a few points of accuracy for putting Luke and Dak into the Rogue 3

I created this quick best-of tour from about 1 year ago, so the collection has evolved quite a bit since then, will have to create an updated viewing soon!
That’s a cool office room Ozzy.
I like the shelving design and that window would be great to look out of on nights or starting mornings in the office. Look forward to the update. Been working on any customs lately?

Thanks! It's a great little office, keeps me inspired for sure, perhaps a little distracted. Had my first child a few months back so the customs work has been on hold for a while, but itching to pick it up again asap. A new collection tour could be a nice Christmas break plan!

Welcome to the life of wanting to spend as much time as possible with your child, while itching constantly to work on your figures, but once you are able to make the time, you're tired and exhausted.
I have so many ideas and plans in my head, but no time to execute.My daughter turned 3 a couple of months ago. For the past year, her afternoon nap was my figure time, so I could get a solid 1-2 hours in 3 times a week. But since getting rid of her last daytime nap two weeks ago, I'll need to come up with a new plan to be able to customize.

Thanks! It's an incredible time with our happy little man, changes life's perspective and priorities completely, for the better. I'm in the same boat, finding time for myself is my new side hobby haha. I've been finding time to pose figures, rearrange the collection, but not quite ready to bring out the hazardous chemicals for 3D printing with a little one in the house, or the time to sink into airbrushing, though soon enough I'll be back to it once we move and have a separate studio behind a locked doorCongrats, man!
