I'm curious to know the reason many people love the McFarlane Hulk. I'm not that familiar with Hulk comics so I'm interested to know why his series is very popular and a favorite among you guys.

Probably just a first exposure to the guy thing. Because I'm only 23 and I don't like McFarlane's Hulk.

Because he was voted as the best artist for many, many years in a row. Also he brought Spider-Man to a entirely new level. Best of all is the way he drew everything. The comic he drew with hulk vs wolvie was legendary.

McFarlene is a fond thing from many of our childhoods, but his Hulk was nothing special. Now if you want great Hulk artists you should look at Buscemia, Keown, Pelletier, Mike De, and Byrne. Now those guys did/do an awesome modern raging Hulk.

I don't mind it either, just nothing special IMHO. His style needs the hyper detailed grit and grime of NewHork to really shine so to speak. On the Hulk he was just any old artist drawing the Hulk.

its the evolution of the style and the storyline. one must pay respect to the previous to understand the present; to gain the total package. be nice if SSC did 3 different pose....curse them!

I am with Spidey on this... McFarlane was not one of the best Hulk Artists... But his work sure did inspire a great Head sculpt with this new SSC Grey Hulk
