i don't know what to say here, but I'm not that blown away like everyone here. For me it's very hard to see Pacino there. It looks just like an italian guy.

Maybe it's the sad expression, or maybe the hair (hope it's not the final hair cut?). Maybe I had also my hopes a bit too high ^^ Still can't wait to see how this will look printed.

How much "wip" are these 3D shots? Is it still an early WIP or almost done?

Yes I also have to say the basic likeness does not really impress me that much... I'm guessing the hair is totally unfinished surely?

The face is just not pacino enough for me...

I have to third I'm not blown away. I do like though that he want with the haircut from the Sollozzo killing scene. The most iconic GF1 Michael scene.

Hope the hair stays that way, but he'd need to look a bit beat up too.

Still WIP. The hair was just colored in for the picture. I do see Al but like I said its a WIP

^ well that's good then, as a WIP i can see the beginnings of a likeness, that needs plenty refinement, look fwd to updates

Exactly! I am using Cg just as a tool to create a foundation, truth is wax will bring him to life! Likeness is still off, hair is just a mock up, and yes he looks sad ;)
Thanks guys!

so will you keep then this expression or will you use another one?
and like intothevoid already stated, I've picked a real pacino pic side by side with these 3D shots. I can see everywhere some places that looks near as Als, but like i said when i look at the sculpt then alone, it's for me very hard to say it's Al.

But after reeding your post, I'm really really looking forward to it again. I know your work so far, as I've been following your blog constantly. Can't wait for the wax-work :) Do you know maybe when this will be printed and ready for the wax?

I will be tweaking the expression a bit more passive aggressive/intense ;)
