I was just being a smart a$$ after jumping through hoops to secure the first two SSE's. I'm interested in this piece, but will be moreso, if they stick to a lower run like 300. I believe that was the original run on the 1/6 PZ, right? At least for the exclusive of the PF, it would be nice. I know SS has to make a profit, but feel they should keep this line more for the hardcore horror and SS fans somehow.

The first one, I'll agree. You jumped through flaming hoops like FeeFee the Wonder Chihuahua and ended up only singing the hair on your butthole and your wallet.

As for the 2nd one, yeah, being online at 9am PST was real hard work.... It had only been posted several times by other fellow freaks what time it was all going up. So the only hard work would've been typing skills and judging by the sheer amount of whining in your SSE dio journey to manhood thread p), that's not an issue for you. So no trying to convince people otherwise.

Please though, don't encourage them. Last thing anyone wants to see is more torrid sobbing logs about collectible acquisition in the Horror forum.

Well nam, I wanted to be sure on the second SSE, as I had never participated in a B&W Friday before. So I was up throughout the night about every hour or so, just in case the items went up during the night. Didn't even have to set an alarm, I just kept getting up to check. Sure as he!! didn't want to miss out on another one. Also, if I had only checked the main "new product" page, I would have missed out on the preorder, because the damn thing was available almost 20 minutes before 9 am! (Thanks MadCow!) I was a very happy collector that day, but of course the anxiety has returned in anticipation of the next SSE diorama.

Back on topic, I am 90% sure I will pick up a Patient Zero Premium Format. He just looks bada$$, but I'm sure I will be limited to only displaying him during Halloween time. But that's cool with me, I will enjoy him more for it. Hopefully the exclusive will include a bloody severed arm, and be limited to 300! A nice homage to the original 1/6.

This PF looks awesome, but there is nowhere I can display him. He would look completely out of place among my SW, LOTR, and Marvel PF's.

I really hope the shirt can close at least a litte bit. Not too fond of the unbuttoned shirt.

That and I sort of don't like the pose. I wish he would be coming at you, hands foward, sort of look.

This isn't 2005, days of low ES are over. The Ex may get a 300 es with some lame extra like a watch. Another thing to note: Look at some of the posters here who don't collect the dead line take interest in this piece (probably $$$). Statue forum has a pretty big thread about it as well.

See, I was right, you ARE a masochist. As for the PF, yeah, his size might very well be the only reason I pass on it. I passed on the other Universal/NewLine PFs due to space and display conflict. My livingroom is all Star Wars (and wife approved! ), familyroom is her LOTR (which is getting some great customs BTW), and I can get by with a couple shelves of zombies in my office (which is primarily military and the zombies - arguably - fit in), but I don't have the space needed to justify the PZ PF and I can't really justify spending near $300 on a Halloween decoration (even though I did 2/3 that with the Frank/Wolf dio).

Though, TBH, my love for the genre might take a bat to my knees like a mob enforcer and force me to PO this SOB. So we'll see...

My thoughts on the piece, after seeing the higher res picture, are that the sculpt is great, but I'm not all that crazy about the clothes. Yes, I understand that zombies would have no regard for how they are dressed (or undressed, as the case may be), but the clothes do tend to make the creature tend to look like he is a former male model turned zombie. The pose is fine, but jeez, pull his pants up, and at least make it look like the shirt had been buttoned at one time. Torn and bloody, of course, but some of the buttons should be fastened.

I just can't understand the interest in a piece like this. A couple of small affordable generic Zombie figures on the shelf is fine, but a giant expensive generic Zombie statue? Not for me.
But I'm happy for those that have been wanting this to happen!
Hopefully now people will stop demanding SSC re-release the 12" Patient Zero.
