to use the real cording is also my idea for this figure.i have solve this in my head for times.
first,i design the armor with each plates are separated and the budget for mold is too high and it's hard too control the price.
second,i try to sculpt cording with plate(like the shown pics) and i think it's not good enough.
and now i'm thinking about make holes for cording to apply real cording with unseparated plates.

Yeah its REALLY time consuming. I used simple thin styrene to make the plates, drilled the individual plates, then strung the plates through with cord. It took me a few weeks just to do this! I think i wound up with over 50 individual plates that had to be corded.
IF your using brass, the figure will be heavy as hell and solid. Cant wait to see how it turns out!
